Njovu Zambia Njovu Zambia is a non-governmental and non-profit organization registered at Registrar of Societies, Registration No. ORS/102/52/903.

Njovu Zambia supports children and youths from underprivileged communities through education, skills, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods, improving health and sustainable agriculture. Non-profit organization Njovu focuses on development cooperation in Zambia. The organization was established in July 2009 in the Czech Republic with the aim to invest in development projects in Zambia and a

lso to inform the Czech public area about the problems in developing countries. “Njovu” means elephant in Zambian language called Nyanja, but it also means unstoppable. Currently, Njovu manages three major development projects in three regions of Zambia. In the capital city Lusaka there is built in the poor Chbolya district Centre for Education and Leisure Activities. In the west of the country in city Mongu, Njovu run Vocational Training Centre for Vulnerable Youth and Little Noah Orphanage. In the south of the country in districts of Choma and Monze, we organize project with focus on sustainable and stable food production for cattle farmers. Njovu emphasized that the projects are long-lasting and sustainable. The main principle of all activities is the close cooperation with local people and communities. Njovu also cooperates with other non-profit organisations, state institutions and other formal or informal groups in Zambia. In the Czech Republic, Njovu cooperates with the Czech Development Agency, the Mendel University in Brno and University of South Bohemia.
