📚 SEPTEMBER | BASIC EDUCATION & LITERACY 📖💙

This September, Rotaract focuses on Basic Education and Literacy, a theme that reminds us of the power of education in transforming lives and creating opportunities.

Education is more than just going to school. It gives people the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to participate fully in society and build better futures. Literacy in particular gives individuals the ability to read, write, understand information and communicate effectively.

As Rotaractors, this month calls us to look at how we can support learners, promote reading, encourage access to education and contribute to creating learning opportunities within our communities.

When we invest in education, we invest in the future🩷💙

Let’s read. Let’s learn. Let’s share knowledge. Let’s empower.

Together, let’s build a community where every learner has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. 📚🌍💙

On 19th June 2026,we were honoured to join the administration, staff and pupils of Libala Secondary School for the launch of our Waste Management and Recycling Project, which included the donation of recycling bins and a tree-planting activity.
These initiatives are a reminder that protecting the environment begins with simple, practical actions that promote responsible waste management, cleaner surroundings and a greener future for generations to come.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the management, staff and pupils of Libala Secondary School for the warm welcome and enthusiastic participation. Special thanks to our valued partner, , for supporting this initiative and helping turn environmental awareness into meaningful action.

This World Environment Day, the Rotaract Club of UNZA reaffirms our commitment to protecting the planet that we all share. Inspired by nature, we believe that small actions such as planting a tree, reducing waste and conserving water, compounds into a lasting change for climate and communities. As we commemorate one of our seven areas of focus, today isn’t just about awareness, it’s a call to act locally for a healthier, greener future that the next generation can inherit. Join us in turning care into action, because a sustainable tomorrow starts with what we do today. Happy World Environment Day🌿🪴
