Impact is invisible if it isn’t heard. We’re here to change that.🙂
Serving as the secretariat for the ZHEYA Coalition, Young Women in Action (YWA) is proud to announce the successful completion of the Communication and Visibility Training facilitated by Amref Health Africa.
This journey was about more than just "visibility" it was about strategy. We’ve honed the skills needed to ensure that youth-led impact in Zambia doesn't just happen in silence but resonates across the continent. By strengthening our messaging, we are ensuring that the Africa Health Collaborative Programme’s mission is seen, felt, and acted upon.
We’re ready to turn impact into inspiration. Let’s make some noise! 😁✌

Advocacy is more than a voice it’s strategy, evidence, and action.

Day 1 of the SMART Advocacy Training in Chilanga brought together passionate advocates , advancing gender equality and SRHR for powerful conversations on creating meaningful change.

From understanding the difference between advocacy, activism, and social behaviour change to strengthening engagement with decision-makers, we explored how strategic voices can influence policies and shift power.

Impactful advocacy is not only about speaking up it’s about knowing the right moment, building relationships, using evidence, and making the ask count.

Sharpening our advocacy tools alongside Marie Stopes Zambia and partners across the women’s movement.

Day 1 | Communications & Visibility Training

Today, as the ZHEYA Coalition, we kicked off the Communications and Visibility Training aimed at strengthening our ability to tell compelling stories, increase visibility, and amplify the impact of our collective work.
Together, we are building stronger voices, sharper messaging, and greater influence for the communities we serve, because what we don't communicate, the world may never see.

Day One: Strengthening Accreditation & Licensing Systems for Youth Inclusion

Today marked the beginning of a collaborative technical engagement focused on strengthening accreditation and licensing systems to make them more accessible, transparent, efficient, and youth-responsive.

Led by the Zambia Health Employment for Youth Action (ZHEYA) in partnership with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) and supported by Amref Health Africa, the workshop brought together key stakeholders to map current licensing processes, identify bottlenecks, review SOPs, and explore practical solutions that improve service delivery and user experience.

The engagement also aims to develop simplified and youth-friendly licensing guides that will help young professionals better understand and navigate accreditation and licensing procedures within the health sector.

By promoting collaboration, innovation, and inclusive regulatory systems, this initiative contributes to strengthening Zambia’s health sector while creating a more enabling environment for young people seeking opportunities in healthcare.
