Overcoming the obstacles that prevent youth from accessing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services and information requires moving beyond mere discussions. It demands intentional systems, policies, and safeguards that guarantee young people can seek care with absolute privacy, safety, and respect.
โ€‹Every young person has a right to accurate SRHR education and high-quality services provided in a judgment-free, inclusive, and empowering environment. Establishing these safe spaces is crucial to ensuring that no young person is left behind.

๐ŸŒ When Climate Crises Hit, Who Safeguards Youth Health?
Climate change isnโ€™t just about the environmentโ€”itโ€™s a human rights crisis. When environmental disasters strike, critical access to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services is often the first thing to fracture.
We cannot build a sustainable future if we leave health rights behind in times of crisis.
This Friday, join a powerful panel of legal experts, advocates, and civic leaders on the JSIZ Friday Youth Conversation platform to tackle this urgent intersection head-on.

Addressing myths and misconceptions surrounding Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) is crucial for improving health outcomes, reducing stigma, and enabling informed decision-making, particularly among young people. Misinformation often acts as a significant barrier to accessing contraceptive services and accurate health information.

As youth led organization, it is our duty to dispel misinformation, myths and misconceptions surrounding SRHR in order to improve health seeking behaviors in relation to SRHR.

Below are some of the myths and misconceptions surrounding access to SRHR services below.

Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services is essential for healthy communities and brighter futures.
When access to family planning, HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and counselling services is disrupted, the consequences can be severe. Women and girls face increased risks of unintended pregnancies, HIV, and other sexually transmitted infections.
No matter the situation, everyone deserves access to the healthcare and information they need to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
Let's continue raising awareness and advocating for uninterrupted SRH services that protect lives, empower young people, and strengthen communities.

Climate emergencies displace communities, but young women and girls should never be displaced from their rights.
