We welcome the important remarks by Minister of Health, Prof. Roma Chilengi, during yesterday's ZNBC Sunday Interview program, where he identified ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜€ and ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ among the major health challenges contributing to premature deaths in Zambia.
This is a critical public health call that resonates strongly with the mission of Save The Pulse Initiative - Africa (STPIA).

Cardiovascular diseases, particularly ๐‡๐˜๐๐„๐‘๐“๐„๐๐’๐ˆ๐Ž๐, require a stronger focus on prevention, early detection, awareness, risk-factor reduction and effective long-term management.

As STPIA, we welcome this renewed focus and look forward to working with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders to strengthen interventions that can prevent cardiovascular disease, improve hypertension control and ultimately reduce preventable deaths in Zambia.

The call is clear: we must act earlier, act together and save more lives.

๐ŸŒ HIGHLIGHT 02 | TAKING THE MESSAGE TO CHURCH

Our outreach journey continued ,taking hypertension awareness into places where communities gather, connect, and grow. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

ยซโ€œHealthy communities begin with informed communities.โ€ ๐Ÿซ€ยป

On 14th June, the Save the Pulse Initiative Africa โ€“ CBU Chapter team, together with a few dedicated volunteers who showed interest in the cause, visited Pentecostal Holiness Foundation of Love and worship for a church outreach.

๐Ÿ™ We began by praying together with the congregation and had the opportunity to enjoy Childrenโ€™s Sunday celebrations.

๐Ÿฉบ After the service:
Church members stayed behind for an interactive session on hypertension, its risk factors, prevention, and the importance of regular blood pressure checks. This was followed by blood pressure screening for members of the congregation.
Special thanks to the church for having the team๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ....

๐Ÿค From worship to wellness, we created space for faith, health, and community to come together.

Another community. Another conversation. Another step towards a healthier heart. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

๐ŸคŸ REACHING EVERYONE | NO ONE LEFT BEHIND

Awareness only matters when everyone has a chance to understand it. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

As part of our outreach, we also ensured that members of the Deaf community were included in the conversation around hypertension. Through accessible communication, they were educated about hypertension, its risk factors, prevention, and the importance of knowing their blood pressure numbers.

Because health awareness should have no barriers, every voice, every community, every heartbeat matters. ๐Ÿซ€
Special thanks to one of the executive member Satela Nathanel ....
