Yesterday, we introduced you to who a Leo is. Today, let's uncover what L.E.O. really stands for...

Not a title. A mindset. Leadership means stepping up, serving others, and inspiring positive change wherever you are.
🌟 E – Experience
The best lessons aren't only learned in classrooms—they're gained through service, teamwork, projects, and real-life opportunities that help you grow.
🚪 O – Opportunity
Opportunity to meet amazing people. Opportunity to develop new skills. Opportunity to serve your community. Opportunity to become the best version of yourself.

On the 14th of March, the Lusaka Ibex Leo Club proudly attended the Third Council Meeting held at StarScape Hotel in Ndola. The gathering brought together Leos from across the district, united in purpose and driven by the spirit of service.

The meeting was a success marked by vibrant discussions, accountability reports, and renewed commitments to projects that uplift communities. For Lusaka Ibex Leos, it was not just about representation, but about demonstrating transparency, teamwork, and dedication to the motto “We Serve.”

The Lusaka Ibex Leo Club’s presence at the council meeting reflected its growing impact, its commitment to service, and its determination to keep soaring higher. As the meeting drew to a close, one truth stood tall: service is not just what we do, it is who we are and together, we will continue to rise, inspire, and make a difference.

On a bright morning, the Leos of Ibex set out with a mission to serve, inspire, and leave lasting footprints of hope in our community. Our journey began at Twavwanne Community School, where we gathered with shovels, watering cans, and hearts full of purpose. Together with the learners, we planted trees—symbols of resilience, growth, and the brighter future we envision for the next generation.

The school’s coordinator was so delighted with the plants we brought that he expressed genuine interest in the project. He assured us that the trees will be well cared for and shared his excitement about welcoming us back for future visits. His words reminded us that service is most impactful when it builds lasting partnerships.

Beyond the trees, we wanted to nurture the children’s creativity and learning. We donated books, crayons, and pencils—simple tools that spark imagination and joy in the classroom. The pupils’ smiles were as bright as the morning sun, showing us that service touches both the earth and the heart.

Later, our path led us to the Kayula Foundation, where we spent meaningful time with the children. We laughed, encouraged, and shared stories, creating moments of connection that went beyond material gifts. Just as at Twavwanne, we left behind books, crayons, and pencils to support their learning and brighten their classrooms with color and opportunity. The joy in their eyes was a powerful reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can ignite the brightest sparks of hope.

Through these visits, the Leos of Ibex lived out our values of unity, responsibility, and care. Whether through trees that will stand tall for generations or pencils that will sketch tomorrow’s ideas, our mission remains the same: to plant values, empower minds, and strengthen communities.

This project is more than a milestone—it is a testament to the spirit of service that defines us as Leos. At Twavwanne and Kayula, we didn’t just give; we connected, we inspired, and we planted seeds of change that will continue to grow long after the day has passed.
