🚨 **PLEASE HELP KELVIN TODAY** 🚨

Meet Kelvin Bwalya, a 14-year-old boy from Chongwe who is bravely fighting brain cancer. Since July 2025, Kelvin has been in and out of hospital and is currently receiving treatment at the Cancer Diseases Hospital.

💔 His fight is not just against illness — it is also against poverty and hardship.

After his diagnosis, Kelvin’s father abandoned the family and relocated to Kasama. His mother lost her job while caring for him in hospital, leaving five children without a stable source of income.

⚠️ **The family is facing serious challenges:**
• No reliable transport for hospital visits
• Struggling to afford essentials like diapers
• Food shortages at home
• Three children have dropped out of school
• No access to health insurance

🪑 **URGENT NEED: WHEELCHAIR**
Kelvin has lost mobility and his mother can no longer carry him.
👉 Cost of a wheelchair: **K3,500 USD185 **

💡 **LIVELIHOOD SUPPORT – SMALL BUSINESS (SALAULA / CHANGA CHANGA)**
Kelvin’s mother is appealing for startup capital to start selling second-hand clothes (salaula / changa changa) to support her family.
👉 Cost of one bale: **K4,000 USD 212 ** (good quality)

This small business can help her provide food, keep her children in school and sustain the family during Kelvin’s treatment.

🙏 **THIS IS A MUST SUPPORT CASE**

🌍✨ Lagos brought the energy! ✨🌍

We’re inspired by the impact and momentum from the SSA Foundations Workshop hosted by ALSAC/St. Jude in Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬 a convening of leaders focused on strengthening partnerships advancing sustainable financing and promoting good governance across the region.

It was powerful to be part of a space where organizations came together with a shared commitment to driving meaningful, scalable change.

A highlight for us was our founding member Chilufya Pikiti, joining a compelling panel on life-changing programs and initiatives across Sub-Saharan Africa reinforcing what’s possible when vision meets action.

We move forward energized by the connections made and the shared ambition to deepen impact across our communities.

Onward with purpose and momentum. 🚀

🌍 World Haemophilia Day 2026
Theme: Diagnosis – The First Step to Care

Today, we reflect on a story that continues to inspire our work and reminds us why early diagnosis is the first step to care.

If you have never seen or heard of a heroine, here is one—Ba Egrain Ngandu from Kasamba Village, Chief Hanjalika, Mazabuka District, Southern Province.

A mother of 18 children…
Nine of her children were lost to haemophilia—a bleeding disorder that went undiagnosed for years.

For most of her life, the cause of her children’s suffering remained unknown. No answers. No treatment. No support.

Through an outreach program supported by the Novo Nordisk Haemophilia & Haemoglobinopathies Foundation (NNHF) and in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Zambia , this family was finally discovered.
A diagnosis was made and everything changed.

Today, her last son, Trust, is living proof of what is possible when diagnosis leads to care.
With the generous donation of clotting factor treatment by the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH), Trust’s life has been transformed.

This is the power of partnership.
This is the impact of commitment.
This is the difference between suffering and hope.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners and stakeholders, NNHF, the Ministry of Health, and WFH for their continued support and collaboration in reaching underserved communities and transforming lives.

Because diagnosis is not just a label,
It is the beginning of care, hope and life-saving treatment.

💉 Without diagnosis, there is no care.
💙 Without collaboration, families remain unreached.
🤝 Together, we are changing lives.

This World Haemophilia Day, we reaffirm our commitment to:

Expanding outreach and early diagnosis

Strengthening partnerships

Ensuring access to life-saving treatment for all

Ba Egrain’s story reminds us that no one should have to wait a lifetime for answers.

Together with our partners we can ensure diagnosis truly becomes the first step to care.

Happy World Haemophilia Day 2026 💙

Happy Birthday to our deeply cherished Madam Charity Chawe Chipimo Pikiti 💜

Today, we don’t just celebrate the day you were born, we celebrate the light you bring into the lives of so many. Through your leadership, you have become a source of strength, hope and comfort for children and families walking one of life’s most difficult journeys.

You have held our hands in moments of fear, lifted our hearts in moments of despair and reminded so many of us that we are never alone. Your compassion goes beyond leadership, it is deeply felt, beautifully lived and has changed lives in ways words can hardly capture.

Because of you, families have found courage. Because of you, children have felt seen, loved and supported. And because of you, this organisation continues to stand as a true beacon of hope.

Thank you for giving so much of yourself, for leading with both strength and tenderness and for walking this journey with such grace and unwavering dedication.

May your birthday be filled with the same love, warmth and hope that you so selflessly give to others every single day.

Happy Birthday, Mrs P. We are truly grateful for you 🌷

💔 With Deep Sadness… 💔

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Natalia, our brave 5-year-old who had been fighting cancer.

Despite the strength she showed and the love and support from many of you, she has sadly lost her battle today.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who donated, shared, and stood with her during this difficult journey.

🙏 We received K1,500 in donations, and all funds will be given to her family to support them during this difficult time.

We kindly ask that you keep Natalia’s family in your prayers as they go through this painful loss.

🕊️ Rest in peace, little angel.
