JATA Zambia conducted an initial training in TB/HIV management for newly recruited Treatment Supporters from Chilanga Urban, Kazimva and Mt Makulu health facilities from 17th to 21st August 2026.
The training equipped participants with the knowledge and skills needed to provide accurate information about TB and HIV management in their communities and to support TB patients and people living with HIV.
The sessions were facilitated by nurses and Community Focal Point Persons (CFPPs) who had previously completed the Training of Trainers (TOT).
Through this initiative, JATA Zambia continues to strengthen community-based support for improved TB and HIV care.
JATA Zambiaは2026年8月17日から21日に、Chilanga Urban、Kazimva、Mt Makuluの各地域でこれから活躍する結核ボランティアを対象に、TB/HIVマネジメントに関する初回研修を実施しました。
この研修では、参加者が地域において結核およびHIVの管理に関する適切な情報を提供するとともに、結核患者やHIVとともに生きる人々をサポートするために必要な知識とスキルを身につけることを目的としました。
研修の各セッションは、以前に結核ボランティア講師育成研修を修了した看護師らが講師を務めました。
JATA Zambiaは、この取り組みを通じて、地域に根ざした支援体制をさらに強化し、より良い結核・HIVケアの実現に向けて取り組んでいます。

JATA Zambia held a Quarter 2 TB Programme Data Review Meeting on 7th August 2026 at Blue Ginger Lodge.
The meeting brought together TB nurses, an ART nurse, laboratory heads, community focal point persons, the TB Programme Officer from Chilanga District Health Office, JATA staff and representatives from Chilanga, Mount Makulu and Kazimva Health Centres.
Participants reviewed TB programme performance, identified gaps and proposed solutions. Overall, the three health facilities recorded a combined TB treatment success rate of 87.2%.
Action points were developed for each facility and will be reviewed at the next meeting to assess progress and strengthen TB service delivery.
JATAザンビアは、2026年8月7日に、第2四半期（Q2）の結核（TB）プログラム・データレビュー会議を開催しました。
会議には、3つの事業実施施設の結核担当看護師、ART看護師、ラボラトリー責任者やランガ保健局の結核担当者らが参加しました。
参加者は、各施設における結核治療の実績を振り返り、課題を特定するとともに、その解決策について協議しました。3つの医療施設における結核治療成功率は、全体で*87.2％*を記録しました。
各施設について具体的なアクションポイントが策定され、次回の会議でその進捗状況を確認し、結核の治療体制をさらに強化していく予定です。

JATA Zambia Conducts TB Management Training.
From 27 to 31 July 2026, JATA Zambia conducted a five-day TB Management Training at Blue Ginger Lodge in Chilanga. The training brought together 12 Medical Officers, Clinical Officers and Nurses from Chilanga, Mount Makulu and Kazimva Health Centres.

The objective was to strengthen the capacity of health workers to effectively detect, investigate and manage tuberculosis. Participants were trained in TB epidemiology, adult and childhood TB, drug-resistant TB, TB prevention, TB Preventive Therapy, contact investigation, and monitoring and evaluation.

The training was facilitated by the Chilanga District Health Office and used interactive methods including slide presentations, group discussions, tests, demonstrations and practical case studies.

Through this training, JATA Zambia continues to support improved TB diagnosis, treatment and care in Chilanga District.

2026年7月27日から31日までの5日間、結核（TB）管理研修を実施しました。本研修には、チランガ、マウント・マクル、カジンバの各ヘルスセンターから、医師、クリニカルオフィサー、看護師の計12名が参加しました。

本研修の目的は、医療従事者が結核を効果的に発見・調査・管理できる能力を強化することです。参加者は、結核の疫学、成人結核および小児結核、薬剤耐性結核、結核予防、結核予防、接触者調査、ならびにモニタリングと評価について学びました。

研修はチランガ郡保健事務所の協力のもとで実施され、講義形式、グループディスカッション、理解度テスト、実演、実践的な症例検討など、参加型の手法を取り入れて行われました。

JATAザンビアは、本研修を通じて、チランガ郡における結核の診断、治療およびケアの質の向上を引き続き支援していきます。

JATA Zambia Holds Training of Trainers in TB/HIV Management
From 15 to 24 June 2026, JATA Zambia conducted a Training of Trainers programme in TB/HIV management for nine Chest Clinic Nurses, ART Nurses and Environmental Health Technologists from Chilanga Urban, Kazimva Health Centre and Mt Makulu Health Centre.
The training enhanced participants’ knowledge of TB/HIV management, updated them on current national guidelines, and strengthened their presentation and teaching skills to effectively train community-based volunteers.
The training was facilitated by the Community-Based TB/HIV Organisation (CBTO) in collaboration with the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Programme (NTLP).

2026年6月15日から24日にかけて、JATAザンビアは、チランガ・アーバンヘルスセンター、カジンバ・ヘルスセンター、マウント・マクル・ヘルスセンターから参加した胸部疾患担当看護師、ART看護師、保健師の計9名を対象に、結核（TB）／HIV管理に関するトレーナー養成研修（Training of Trainers：ToT）を実施しました。
本研修では、参加者の結核／HIV管理に関する知識を向上させるとともに、最新の国家ガイドラインについて理解を深め、地域で活動するボランティアに対して効果的な研修を実施できるよう、プレゼンテーション能力および指導技術の強化を図りました。今後は彼らが地域で活躍するボランティアに対して研修を行い、活動の監督をします。
研修は、現地NGOであるCommunity-Based TB/HIV Organisation：CBTOが、National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Programme：NTLPと連携して実施しました。

JATA Zambia is constructing a new X-ray room building at Kazimva Health Centre in Chilanga District.

The facility is being developed under Phase 1 of the “Project for Tuberculosis Diagnosis and Treatment Process Improvement in Chilanga District, Lusaka Province,” running from 29 March 2026 to 28 March 2027.

Once completed, the X-ray room will support improved TB diagnosis and strengthen access to quality healthcare services in the district.
