CLOSURE OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS
SCHOOL CLOSURE NOTICE

We wish to bring to your attention that Chininde Primary School in Nanyanga Ward of Siavonga Constituency has been closed due to the non-availability of running water, as communicated by the Ministry of Health through Chalokwa Health Post (see attached notice).

It is heartbreaking that a school located just a few meters away from the mighty Zambezi River is unable to operate because learners have no access to safe running water. This situation has created a crisis that directly affects our children’s right to education. As our President has always emphasised, education is a cornerstone of national development and every effort must be made to ensure that learners are not deprived of it.

We therefore humbly appeal to the relevant authorities to act swiftly and help restore water supply so that Chininde Primary School can reopen. Our learners deserve the chance to continue with their studies without disruption.

Education is a right, not a privilege. Let us come together and urgently resolve this matter for the sake of our children’s future.
