Fix Your Eyes on Jesus
Our focus in ministry has moved away from Jesus. We are focused on many other things but Jesus. When Jesus gets mentioned in our preaching in many cases, it's when we can people to salvation or when we end our prayers .

The head of the church has become forgotten by the church. He has become a means to an end. Most pastors don't even know who Jesus is. They have a revelation of business, money, finances, marriage, family and work than they do about Jesus.

How many pastors today even read the gospels? The few who read it do so to find what to preach or stand on. The look for revelation for other things than of Jesus. Men are their model not Jesus.

In the 80s when I started reading the gospels,I feel in love with Jesus. I can recall someone preaching to me and I told the person that if I can't be like Jesus, no need to be a Christian. I don't want to be a follower of Jesus but a model of Jesus in this life.

I studied the book of John many times over and over and I met Jesus there in. Kenneth Copeland taught me a secee then. He said I should read the gospels and Acts of Apostles three times in a month and I will have the revelation of Jesus. I did and till date, my eyes are fixed on Jesus not any man.

When you eyes are off Jesus, you will preach gospels that is contrary to Him. You will have a form of Christian that has no Christ in it. Any time a pastor preaches that God kills people, He contradicts Jesus statement that the devil is the one who kills.

We want Jesus to give us the world so we can have a good life to pepper others but we don't want to connect with Jesus and do His assignment. We can steal from others and then thank Jesus for helping us become successful. Jesus will rebuke you not praise you for that.

Because we have lose focus on Jesus, we have missed the road. That is why the church is more carnal and worldly than the world. Jesus is the light of the church and the church is the light of the world but because He is not shining that light in the church, the church is in darkness.

It's easy to disobey God when He instructs us to do something for someone because we have the revelation of money and poverty more than that of Jesus. If your eyes are fixed on Christ, you will always be prompt in your obedience. But because we are not fixed on Him, we disobey and don't care.

As a result we are raising a generation of people who don't know Jesus. Pastors are taking over the place of Jesus. Even the ones castigating others are taking over His place. He is being edged out of His church. Mammon is taking over the church and becoming the Lord. Doing ministry is now about convenience and comfort rather than shinning light in a darkened world. The world has more light now than the church.

We must crown Jesus lord over the church. We have to obey Him. When our eyes is fixed on Jesus and our soul filled with revelation of Him, we will lead the world. We will be a lamp set on a heal that the world will come to.

I am Redeemed by Jesus and sent by Him to repair cities, spread people prosperity and transform nations. He is Lord over my life. I obey Him always. I am His model. I want the world to see Jesus through me.

Jesus is Lord.

PASTORAL AND MINISTERIAL ETHICS: THE CASE OF JOHN NUNDWE AKA PROPHET JOHN GENERAL.

By Bishop Bilon Kalumbinga

When all is said and done. When the judges are done condemning John General, when the loyalists are done standing with him and when the blind followers are done supporting him, there must be a common ground at which we all meet to learn something from this saga.

The common ground is that this matter is a case of Pastoral and Ministerial Ethics (PME). When you analyze most of John General’s “issues” you notice that they all border on breach of Pastoral and Ministerial Ethics.

The whole time I served under Mr. Gordon Suckling, my spiritual father, I never encountered him ministering or counseling a female. He trained a team of women in various aspects of Ministration, and these women attended to fellow women (sometimes under the supervision of his wife, Mum Ndona Peggy Suckling). At that time, we didn’t even know that this approach to ministry was called ETHICS. Now we know.

And when Mr. Suckling established the Christian Fellowships in Zambia (CFZ), this approach of male Pastors not attending to females continued in all CFZ churches. To this day, I support this approach.

If Prophet John General went to that lady’s house in the company of his wife, or if he just sent a team of women to minister to her, we could not be talking about this today.

I strongly encourage Pastors to train women who should attend to fellow women – starting with your wife.

Should it be imperative that a male Pastor must attend to a woman himself, that Pastor should be in the company of two or three women.

Also, we should avoid this idea of a Pastor attending to everything and everyone. Some things leave them to others. That is leadership – a leader works through others. A Pastor should never be a super star or a starling.

As a Pastor, Pastoral and Ministerial Ethics is a way of protecting your person and your ministry. Let’s embrace Ethics.

It is very sad that almost everyone is talking about John General and not about the woman! Do you know why? As unfair as that sounds and appears, that is how it is. A Pastor is always held in very high esteem, and so when he suffers a moral or role failure, the judgement is very severe (James 3:1)

Society will always have higher expectations of a man of God. Because a man of God is expected to be a moral campus. A representative of God!

So, everyone can sing Ephraim’s song, “limo limo ndanaka. Limo limo ndafilwa, ndimuntufye……..” but not a pastor! A Pastor is not allowed to sing that song! That song does not apply to a Pastor!

Yes, a Pastor is also a “Muntu fye” but, is expected to be a different “Muntu fye”. The standard of Morality and the Code of Conduct laid on the shoulders of a Pastor is very high. And, that is just the way it is. There are no two ways about it.

In conclusion, Pastors need to learn and by the grace of God practice Pastoral and Ministerial Ethics (PME). As a Pastor, take note that PME is designed to provide preemptive protection to your person and to your ministry.

I pray for the innocent souls in John General’s Church that God will protect them from being disturbed by Satan in the light of this occurrence.

James 3:1 NLT
Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly.

Romans 2:21-22 NKJV
You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? [22] You who say, "Do not commit adultery," do you commit adultery?.......

LUANSHYA CLERGY ATTEMPTS SU***DE

A pastor in Luanshya is battling for his life after a failed su***de attempt where he took doom insecticide.

Anthony Mambeu had earlier informed his wife and the church leadership of his intention to resign as pastor then he left home without stating his whereabouts.

He was later discovered lying unconscious at the pulpit with foam coming out his mouth.

Also found at the site was a bottle mineral water, polytgene rope, doom insecticide bottle, his ulcer medication and a su***de note.

According to police, the pastor stated in the su***de note that the wife had been mistreating him for 25 years.

Copperbelt police commissioner Peacewell Mweemba in a statement stated that Mr. Mambeu was admitted at Thompson District Hospital in unstable condition by press time.
