YOUTH PRE-COP30 DIALOGUE

The countdown to COP30 has begun and young people are taking the lead!

Before the world meets in Brazil for COP30, we’re gathering here at home for the Youth Pre-COP30 Dialogue, a space where young climate leaders, advocates, and changemakers come together to raise their voices, share solutions, and influence the global climate conversation. 🌎🔥

This dialogue will:
✅ Create a platform for youth to engage in meaningful discussions on climate action and policy.
✅ Strengthen youth participation and representation in national and international climate processes.
✅ Build momentum ahead of COP30 by spotlighting youth-led climate solutions and priorities.

Success at the Agroecology Dialogue Hub Activity!

On 18th September 2025, Youths4ClimateJustice hosted a powerful Hub Activity at Global Platform Zambia, bringing together key institutions and young people to advance agroecology for resilient food systems and green jobs.

Ms. Mutinta Nkentani from the Zambia Alliance for Agroecology and Biodiversity unpacked the state of agri-food systems and the role of agroecology in ensuring food sovereignty. Pelum Zambia represented by Ms. Etinala Tembo shared scientific innovations and field-tested practices for resilient farming and Ms. Christabel Miti from Kasisi Agricultural Training Centre highlighted training, entrepreneurship, and pathways for youth and women in building sustainable green enterprises.

The dialogue closed with reflections, networking, and a renewed commitment to promoting climate action through activism and advocacy. 🌍💚

August Climate Cafe Highlights.

On August 27th, YYouths4ClimateJusticeheld the Climate Cafe at the GGlobal Platform Zambia focusing on reviewing the outcomes of the 45th SADC Heads of State Summit held in Madagascar. This dialogue follows several submissions made in collaboration with other youth-led movements and organizations through a press statement issued on International Youth Day.

Through this review dialogue, young people aimed to address inconsistencies in the SADC summit outcomes, especially on issues such as rising unemployment, debt justice, and climate justice, among others.

The dialogue also presented itself as a platform to identify and complement some of the positive steps taken by Heads of State and Government within the SADC Region, and Zambia in particular, while paving the way for the integration of youth ideas, opinions, and needs in decision-making.
