Yesterday, we joined Mopani Copper Mines PLC and WEAC in commemorating Menstrual Hygiene Day through the official launch of the STEMBODY360 Catalyzer in Kitwe.

It was inspiring to engage with young people on menstrual health and the power of knowledge, and we are excited to see the programme continue its rollout across Kitwe and Mufulira districts.

Together, we’re creating safer, more informed spaces for girls to thrive. Here’s to breaking stigma and empowering young girls and women one step at a time.

Today, we mark Menstrual Hygiene Day as a reminder that menstruation is a natural part of life, yet many girls and women still face barriers to managing it safely and with dignity.

Let’s work together to break the stigma and build a future where menstrual health is supported and prioritised.

We’re excited to introduce a new collaborative project launching this Menstrual Hygiene Day, in partnership with WEAC and Mopani Mines, focused on supporting girls across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels.

While WEAC leads on STEM entrepreneurship and community empowerment, iSanitize is driving the Menstrual Health and Hygiene component, ensuring that girls have the knowledge, resources, and confidence to manage their health with dignity.

By addressing both education and menstrual health, this initiative aims to reduce barriers that prevent girls from fully participating in school and pursuing opportunities in STEM.

Happy Africa Freedom Day!

As we celebrate the progress and resilience of our continent, this year’s theme calls for renewed focus on sustainable water access and safe sanitation.

Without reliable water and sanitation, communities face preventable health risks and barriers to opportunity. iSanitize remains dedicated to advancing hygiene solutions and awareness that contribute to safer, healthier communities across the country.

Across Zambia, the difference between urban and rural access to water, sanitation, and hygiene remains significant.

Many rural households still rely on unsafe water sources and lack basic sanitation, increasing the risk of WASH-related diseases and limiting opportunities, especially for women and children.

Through our work, iSanitize is helping bring essential WASH resources closer to the communities that need them most, but more support is needed to create lasting change.
