We’re looking back at this vital session where our amazing Safe Motherhood Action Groups (SMAGs) educated pregnant women on recognizing pregnancy danger signs. Early detection saves lives, and our SMAGs are always on the frontline making sure mothers have the knowledge they need! 🤰🏽

Our SMAGs play a truly vital role in the community—serving as a trusted bridge between families and healthcare facilities, and working tirelessly to ensure no mother is left behind. We are so grateful for their dedication!

SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION OF THE KEEMBE HEALTH OUTREACH 🤝

Our vital health outreach in the Chibombo district wrapped up this past Friday, and the Rocinantes NGO Zambia TB team couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible reception we received.
Over the course of the outreach, our team worked productively on the ground—conducting free TB screenings, spreading life-saving health education, and connecting with so many wonderful members of the community.
A massive thank you to the Keembe community for welcoming us with open arms, partnering with us for better health, and taking proactive steps toward a TB-free future. Remember, early detection saves lives, and together, we are making our communities stronger and healthier!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED FOR OUR HEALTHCARE WORKERS 🎓👶

Today was the end of our Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (EmONC) training! Over the past few days, our Maternal and Child Health (MCH) team has been on the ground, guiding frontline healthcare workers through intense, hands-on sessions and practical role-plays.
Our incredible participants are now fully equipped with the specialized, lifesaving skills needed to tackle critical complications during pregnancy, labor, and early infancy. By empowering these local heroes, Rocinantes Zambia is making safer deliveries and reduced maternal and newborn mortality a reality in our communities.
A huge thank you to our trainers for their expertise, and to our participants for their dedication to saving lives!

📢 EMPOWERING HEALTHCARE HEROES TO SAVE LIVES!

We are thrilled to kick off our Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (EmONC) training! Our Maternal and Child Health (MCH) team is live on the ground conducting these vital sessions, which were officially launched with opening remarks from our Country Director. This specialized training equips frontline healthcare workers with essential, lifesaving skills to quickly treat dangerous complications during pregnancy, labor, and early infancy. Through this initiative, Rocinantes NGO Zambia is taking direct action to reduce maternal and newborn mortality and ensure safer deliveries across our communities.

🚀 Empowering Our Healthcare Leaders: Ultrasound Training of Trainers Successfully Concluded! 📸

Our Maternal and Child Health MCH team has officially wrapped up a two-week Ultrasound Training of Trainers program! 💡

A Training of Trainers program is uniquely designed to teach selected participants not only the core subject matter, but also the important skills needed to train and mentor others effectively. By equipping these health workers with both ultrasound expertise and teaching tools, they are now fully prepared to return to their own facilities—and reach out to others—to orient and train fellow staff.

A big thank you to our dedicated participants as this training comes to an end! Together, we are strengthening Zambia's maternal healthcare and creating a lasting impact. 🤰🏾✨

Rocinantes Zambia today visited the Chawama Youth Project sites for the Chawama Skills Training Centres and was truly inspired by the exceptional work being carried out through the Education for Sustainable Development skills programmes accredited by Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA).

The centres are empowering community members through practical and impactful training in areas such as Mechanical Engineering, Fashion Design and Textile Technology, ICT, Entrepreneurship, and Catering, among many others. These programmes are making a meaningful difference by equipping residents with valuable skills that promote self-reliance, employment creation, and entrepreneurship within the community.

During the visit, Rocinantes Zambia also explored potential areas of collaboration and partnership aimed at supporting skills development initiatives and strengthening opportunities for community empowerment and sustainable growth. We look forward to future engagements that will continue transforming lives and enabling sustainable growth for the people of Zambia.

Throwing it back to a wonderful day when we had the absolute pleasure of hosting visitors from Japan at Rocinantes Zambia!

We started the day with warm introductions, shared the impact of our ongoing health projects, and wrapped up the great discussions by enjoying a delicious lunch together. 🍲✨
