The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) Zambia is hosting the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF)Global Quality Planning Meeting in Livingstone from 5–9 October 2026, bringing together teams to reflect on performance, share lessons, and strengthen the quality of health services.

The meeting began with visits to Livingstone University Teaching Hospital and Maramba Urban Clinic, providing an opportunity to assess service delivery, data quality and best practices, while engaging health facility leadership and staff on opportunities for continued improvement. Facility and district leadership also reaffirmed their appreciation for AHF’s longstanding partnership and contribution to strengthening health services in Livingstone.

As discussions progress, the meeting is turning its focus to 2027 priorities and commitments, including measurable milestones, site-level performance, targeted support, quality improvement and stronger alignment of global, regional and country priorities.

Beyond planning, the meeting is about turning evidence into action, strengthening partnerships and ensuring that quality remains at the heart of every service delivered.

Zambia Metal Fabricators PLC (ZAMEFA) hosted a comprehensive workplace health outreach facilitated by AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) Zambia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Zambia (MoH) through the Luanshya District Health Office.

The outreach brought essential health services closer to employees, including HIV testing and counselling, STI screening and treatment, condom distribution, mental health and stress management support, and men’s health services.

AHF Zambia remains committed to supporting workplaces and communities with accessible, quality health services whenever called upon, strengthening partnerships that promote healthier lives.

Kitwe District Health Office convened a Strategic Alignment Meeting on HIV/TB Programme Implementation, bringing together the Ministry of Health and implementing partners to review performance, strengthen collaboration, and align interventions with district priorities.

Representing AHF Zambia were Mr. Danny Nkandu, Kitwe District Clinical Mentor; Ms Viola Zimba, Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator; and Ms Julia Chibangamoto, Linkage & Retention Assistant.

AHF Zambia highlighted its contribution across 10 supported sites, recording strong performance from January–September 2026, including 97% TPT coverage, 93% CD4 coverage, 91% cervical cancer screening, 95% STI/syphilis testing, and a 37% HTS index contribution against a 30% target.

With retention in care at 77%, the meeting also identified an important area for intensified action as AHF Zambia and partners work towards improved continuity of care and stronger programme outcomes.

Through its partnership with the Ministry of Health, AHF Zambia continues to provide clinical mentorship, human resource support, HIV/TB and STI services, cervical cancer screening, prevention interventions and community-based services across Kitwe District.

Strong partnerships. Stronger systems. Better health outcomes.
