Pollution Clean-Up Isn't the Real Solution:

Pollution clean-up is one of the common methods used to address environmental pollution. It involves removing pollutants after they have already been produced and released into the environment.

However, relying mainly on clean-up isn't a lasting solution. It's temporary, and often shifts the pollutants from one place to another rather than solving the problem.

When solid waste (e.g garbage) is burned, it releases harmful gases into the air, contributing to air pollution, which claims millions of lives around the world every year.

Burning waste also leaves behind toxic ash that must still be disposed of somewhere.

The toxic ash left behind may either cause soil pollution or runoff into water bodies to cause water pollution, killing aquatic life and making fish and other water resources unsafe for human consumption.

So also so, when solid waste is buried under the soil, it can cause soil pollution. As the waste decomposes, it produces a harmful liquid called leachate, which can seep into the soil and reach groundwater sources. Even a small amount of leachate can contaminate a large volume of groundwater, making it unsafe for human use.

🌍 Stopping Pollutants from reaching our environment is the Real Solution.

🌍 Let us embrace the 4R's of waste management:
♻️ Refuse
♻️ Reduce
♻️ Reuse
♻️ Recycle

🌍 Be part of the solution—protect our planet for today and future generations.
