A single voice on the radio can reach thousands of people, but when that voice is equipped with accurate information, it can change lives. In Zambia, presenters like Doris Zulu and Harrison Mbewe are using the power of the airwaves to break down myths, answer difficult questions, and connect communities with vital s*xual and reproductive health information. For many listeners, these radio programmes are more than just broadcasts, they are trusted spaces where young people and adults can access knowledge that empowers them to make informed decisions about their health and future. By strengthening the capacity of media champions with evidence-based SRHR information, SAT Zambia is helping ensure that reliable knowledge reaches far beyond health facilities and into homes, schools, and communities. Their stories remind us that when communities are informed, they are empoweredโ€”and when voices are amplified, change can travel far beyond the microphone.

"๐ˆ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ฅ?"

Is one of the most important questions to ask when it comes to your health. A lot of us stay silent because we're embarrassed, worried about being judged, or think some questions are too silly to ask. But when it comes to your health, there are no silly questions.

Questions like:
๐Ÿฉบ Is this normal for my body?
โค๏ธ What does a healthy relationship look like?
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ How do condoms actually work?
๐Ÿง  Is what I'm feeling stress, anxiety or something else?
๐Ÿ’Š What contraceptive options are available to me?
๐Ÿšฉ When should I go to the clinic?
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ How do I talk to my partner about consent and boundaries?

Asking questions is how we learn, protect ourselves and make informed decisions. The more accurate information we have, the better equipped we are to take care of our health and wellbeing.

If you could ask a healthcare professional one question without feeling embarrassed, what would it be?

Today we also honour the Day of the African Child

A day that reminds us that every child has the right to be heard, protected, educated, and supported to reach their full potential.

Across the continent, children continue to face barriers in education, safety, healthcare, and access to opportunities, but their voices remain powerful, resilient, and necessary in shaping better systems for the future โœŠ๐Ÿพ

This day calls on all of us to move beyond intention and strengthen the systems that protect childrenโ€™s rights, ensuring participation, accountability, and real action where it matters most.

At YouthWyze, we believe that when children are heard and supported early, they grow into empowered young people who can thrive in every space they enter ๐Ÿ’ก

By protecting children today, we are building Africaโ€™s future tomorrow!

Confidence doesnโ€™t magically appear, it's something we have to work on gaining in order to face challenges and make it in today's world. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

๐Ÿ—ฃAre you waiting until you are confident enough before you speak up about things that make you uncomfortable? Or asking questions and setting clear boundaries.

Confidence usually comes after you've faced your biggest fears, so take a deep breath ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ ask those challenging questions, confront the issues you are too afraid to address, and you will wear a badge of confidence with honour. ๐Ÿฅ‡

Whether it's saying no to peer pressure, ending an unhealthy relationship, going for a health check-up or simply asking for help, courage often comes before confidence.๐Ÿฆน

Tell us: What's one thing you have not been confident enough to tackle so far? You can DM or tell us in comments.

We often grow up hearing opinions๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ, advice from friends, or incomplete information about s*xual health, right? But the truth is that knowing your own body๐Ÿง๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿง๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ, understanding your rights โš–๏ธ, and having access to accurate information can make all the difference in the decisions you make throughout your life.

And you? ๐Ÿ’ฌ Is there something you wish you had learned earlier about s*xual health? Your experience can help others clarify doubts, break myths, and realise that talking about s*xual health responsibly is natural and important.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Share your opinion in the comments.

Have you ever felt ashamed to ask questions about your body ๐Ÿง๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿง๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ, your health, or your feelings? The truth is, seeking information, asking for help, or clarifying doubts is not a reason for embarrassment. What really matters is having access to correct information โœ… to make safe and conscious decisions about your life.

Talking about health ๐Ÿฉบ, well-being, relationships, or future planning doesn't make you weak or less capable. On the contrary, it demonstrates courage ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ and responsibility. Whenever you have a question, remember: asking, learning ๐Ÿ“–, and taking care of yourself are attitudes that deserve respect, not judgment.

Some things are so common that we stop questioning them.๐Ÿง

We normalise lying to our parents๐Ÿ—ฃWe pretend not to care about school because it's "not cool."๐Ÿšถ We put pressure on ourselves to impress other people.๐Ÿ˜Ž We compromise our values to keep a partner happy.โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน We avoid going to the clinic when something doesn't feel right. ๐Ÿ’‰We feel embarrassed to ask for condoms. ๐Ÿ™ˆWe stay quiet when something makes us uncomfortable instead of saying "no."

The older you get, the more important it is to make choices that work for you and not do things because "everyone is doing it".

๐Ÿ’ญ What are some of the things you think we should stop normalising?
๐Ÿ‘‡ Let's talk about it.

We've all been warned about red flags and the danger zones we should look out for in relationships, but we haven't really talked about the green flags. If you are surrounded by people who are loving and supportive, you must take a moment to celebrate. Here are the green flags we appreciate

โœ”๏ธ Friends who respect our boundaries
โœ”๏ธ A partner who listens when you say no
โœ”๏ธ Someone who encourages your goals
โœ”๏ธ People who don't make you feel guilty about your choices
โœ”๏ธ Friends who check in when you're quiet

Let's start the week on a positive note.
Tell us๐Ÿ’š What's a green flag you appreciate?

Do you want to understand your rights? Ask.
Do you want to know more about your health? Ask.
Are you confused about relationships, s*x, or contraception? Ask.

There's no prize for pretending you know everything. ๐Ÿ˜…

And you don't want to be that friend who gives advice without actually knowing the facts about what you are talking about. You know how frustrating it can be.

Here's a challenge๐ŸŽฏDM us and ask us any question about your health, rights or relationships, and let's give you the best information.

Building healthy, inclusive societies means ensuring that every person is treated with dignity and respect. On International S*x Workers' Day, we reflect on the importance of safety, justice, and access to health services, and on creating communities where everyone can live free from violence, discrimination, and exclusion.

S*x workers demand only the same rights we all demand and deserve:

๐Ÿ‘ Safety and protection from violence
๐Ÿ‘ Equal access to justice
๐Ÿ‘ Healthcare without discrimination
๐Ÿ‘ Safe and healthy working conditions
๐Ÿ‘ Bodily autonomy
๐Ÿ‘ Recognition of their human rights
๐Ÿ‘ Inclusion, respect, and dignity
