As young people, advocates and ambassadors for positive change, we have a responsibility to lead with integrity — especially during moments that shape the future of our communities and our country.

As you participate in Zambia’s General Elections, remember to vote responsibly, respect one another, reject violence and hate, protect peace, listen to different perspectives, and lead by example.

Our differences in opinion should never divide us. Let us use our voices responsibly, participate peacefully, and demonstrate the kind of leadership we want to see in Zambia.

To every member of the Youth WASH Ambassadors Club (YWAC), we wish you a safe, peaceful and meaningful election experience. May you carry the values of leadership, service, unity and responsibility wherever you go.

We have concluded the two-day Capacity Building Training for Environmental Defenders and Rights Holders on Digital Advocacy, Community Rights, Artisanal Miners’ Rights, and the Use of GIS and Spatial Tools.

Organised by Youth4Climate Justice (Y4CJ) and partners, the training brought together young leaders, environmental defenders and community advocates from across Zambia. The Youth WASH Ambassadors Club was represented by our Head of Media and Communications, John Chipango.

The training strengthened our understanding of community rights, environmental protection, responsible mining, digital advocacy, and the use of GIS and spatial data for evidence-based community action.

We are taking the knowledge, connections and lessons from this training forward and look forward to applying them in our continued work advancing WASH, environmental sustainability and meaningful youth participation.

Knowledge gained. Connections strengthened. Action ahead.

We are proud to be participating in a two-day Capacity Building Training for Environmental Defenders and Rights Holders on Digital Advocacy, Community Rights, Artisanal Miners’ Rights, and the use of GIS and Spatial Tools, organised by Youth4Climate Justice (Y4CJ) and partners.

The Youth WASH Ambassadors Club (YWAC) is represented at the training by our Head of Media and Communications, John Chipango, who will join other young leaders and advocates to strengthen their knowledge and skills in environmental protection, community rights, digital advocacy, and spatial tools.

We look forward to gaining new knowledge, building meaningful connections, and bringing the lessons and skills from this training into our WASH, environmental and youth advocacy programming.
