ZCCP-Kwatu Knowledge for Life Affecting positive behaviour change, social mobilisation & quality service provision for Zambians

ZCCP is a local NGO in Zambia established in the year 2002 with a vision of ‘having a well informed and empowered Zambian society where individuals and communities make positive and proactive decisions about their health, development and general social wellbeing’ through improved access to information and education. The organization is a champion in health and development communications and works with communities to bring about social behavior change. The organisation uses the power of the mass media (radio, TV, print, social media and social mobilisation) to reach the populations and effect social and behavioral change. The organization uses a rigorous formative research process to generate appropriate edutainment content relevant to social, health and development priorities in Zambia. ZCCP has developed Kwatu as a well-known health and development communication brand, which has been used to carry all of ZCCP’s products.

Congratulations Misheck Tiger Banda 🎉⚽

A huge congratulations to our very own Coach Misheck Tiger Banda, one of our dedicated CBIM Coaches, on obtaining your FAZ coaching licence and, more importantly, for leading your team to the FAZ National League!

Your achievement is a powerful testament to what is possible when talent, discipline, mentorship and positive masculinity come together. Through CBIM, we believe in equipping young people with the values, confidence and leadership skills they need to thrive—and you are living proof that these values can translate into meaningful achievement both on and off the pitch.

We are incredibly proud to see one of our coaches making such remarkable strides in football and leadership. Your journey is an inspiration to the boys and young people you mentor, and a great example of the impact that committed coaches can have in shaping positive futures.

Congratulations once again, Coach Misheck! 👏🏾⚽🔥
Keep leading, keep inspiring, and keep making a difference. The journey to even greater heights has only just begun!
Please share your story with us too 🙏

We are excited to share that ZCCP-Kwatu is represented in Mombasa, Kenya, at the **MenEngage Africa SRHR Learning & Exchange Symposium – **.

This year’s symposium is being held under the theme:

**“Reclaiming Autonomy: Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Justice in the Face of Resistance.”**

The symposium brings together practitioners, advocates, young people, and partners from across Africa to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and strengthen collective action on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

At ZCCP, we look forward to **connecting with fellow practitioners, learning from diverse experiences, sharing insights from our work, and contributing to conversations that advance sexual and reproductive justice across Africa.**

Together, we continue to champion **gender equality, meaningful youth engagement, and inclusive approaches that enable individuals and communities to exercise their rights and make informed choices about their health and wellbeing.**

Strengthening Capacity for Gender-Transformative Programming

Zambia Centre for Communication Programmes (ZCCP-Kwatu), in its role as the Secretariat of MenEngage Alliance Zambia, is conducting a five-day capacity-building workshop for Sida-CSO partners and MenEngage Alliance Zambia member organisations.

The training is designed to strengthen participants' capacity to integrate men and boys into programme design, embed male engagement within log frames and budgets, and promote organisational change for gender equality. Through interactive learning, practical tools, and peer exchange, participants are building the knowledge and skills needed to design, implement, and monitor programmes that intentionally engage men and boys as partners in advancing gender equality.

By strengthening organisational systems and institutionalising gender-transformative approaches, this workshop is contributing to more inclusive, effective, and sustainable programmes that address the root causes of gender inequality and gender-based violence.

At ZCCP-Kwatu, we believe that achieving gender equality requires the meaningful engagement of everyone. As the Secretariat of MenEngage Alliance Zambia, we remain committed to supporting civil society organisations to strengthen their capacity, foster positive masculinity, and create safer, more equitable communities for women, girls, men, and boys.

This workshop is being implemented with support from Save the Children Zambia as part of the Civil Society Strengthening Programme.
