Restored Hope Zambia

Restored Hope Zambia Restored Hope Zambia aims to restore hope to those who have suffered abuse in the church in Zambia. Abuse of any kind should have no place within the church.

But sadly, abuse does happen in Churches and often covered up when it comes to light under the guise of protecting the Church. This is in conflict with what the bible teaches about justice and how to care for the vulnerable and hurting. That is why, as a Christian organisation, we want to speak out against abuse wherever it’s found in the Zambian church. You can read more about what we do, why we

exist and find resources on Church abuse dynamics on our website: www.restoredhopezambia.org

If you’ve suffered any form of abuse within the context of a Church setting and would like confidential support, be that a listening ear, counselling or legal support, or if you would like support someone going through this, get in touch with us via messenger, phone us or send a WhatsApp on 077 698 0818; visit us at our premises in Madras, Lusaka or contact us through our website where you also have the option of requesting a call back from us.

In case you missed it....

No Bond. No Bail. ‼️‼️

A new dawn is rising in the fight against sexual abuse.

At Restored Hope Zambia, we welcome the Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) Act, 2026 (Act No. 4 of 2026), which now classifies sexual offences as non-bailable - significant step toward strengthening protection for survivors.

As the light rises, so does the call for accountability, dignity, and justice. This moment reflects the kind of progress we continue to advocate for - safer systems that take the experiences of survivors seriously.

The wheels of justice may turn slowly, but they are turning.

Breaking silence. Restoring dignity. Building safer communities.

"He is not here; but is risen.” Luke 24:6

The resurrection of Christ reminds us that hope can emerge even from places of deep pain. Because He lives, we are reminded that restoration, dignity, and new beginnings are always possible.

At Restored Hope Zambia, the message of the risen Christ encourages us to continue working toward communities where compassion, justice, and healing can flourish.

He is risen indeed.🙌

We are proud to celebrate our Advisory Board Member on two wonderful milestones - 12 years of good standing at the Bar and the launch of her new law firm.

Her commitment to justice, integrity, and excellence continues to inspire our work at Restored Hope Zambia. We are grateful for the wisdom and guidance she brings to our mission, and we celebrate this exciting new chapter with her.

Abana Youth!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎆 Happy youth day.

Young people are often told they are the future.
But they are also the present, shaping conversations, challenging harmful norms, and imagining better communities.

At Restored Hope Zambia, we have the privilege of working with young people who are willing to ask difficult questions about abuse, dignity, and justice. Their courage to learn, speak up, and support one another gives us hope.

This Youth Day, we celebrate young people not only for who they will become, but for the voices they are already raising today.

After International Women’s Day: The Conversation Continues

International Women’s Day has passed, and many beautiful messages were shared celebrating the strength, resilience, and contributions of women.

But once the day is over, an important question remains.

What does it look like to honor women beyond a single day?

For many women, the reality of life still includes silence around abuse, fear of speaking up, and the risk of not being believed. Behind many smiles are stories that have never been told.

At Restored Hope Zambia, we believe that supporting women means more than celebration. It means building communities where women are safe, where their voices are heard, and where abuse is taken seriously.

The conversation about dignity, safety, and justice should not end when the day does.

As we move forward, we invite each of us to reflect:
What are we doing in our communities to ensure women are safe, heard, and respected every day?

"Can men be abused?”

This question brought complete silence during one of our youth trainings on abuse.
Not because it was wrong - but because it is rarely asked

Conversations about abuse often focus on women and girls, and rightly so. But this focus has also left many men and boys unseen. When perpetrators are usually male, it becomes hard for society—and even the church—to imagine men as victims.

Let us know what you think...... Can men be abused? Share your thoughts in the comment section below or DM us your response 🙏

There are those who justify the cover up of abuse in Churches in the name of protecting the Church, or who claim dealing with abuse is a distraction for the Church. Jesus has something to say to that.

He rebukes those who are merely concerned with the outward appearance of righteousness but ignore the heart of God - his heart towards justice for the oppressed, mercy or compassion for the vulnerable and faithfulness to God himself. Let us listen to the words of Jesus and not ignore these weightier matters that Jesus highlights.
