The Youth Life Project

The Youth Life Project Operating under the guiding philosophy of transforming youth “from spectators to custodians". WHO ARE WE?

Established in August 2015 in Kalingalinga, Lusaka, Youth Life Project (YLP) is a dynamic, legally registered, youth-led non-governmental organization in Zambia. Youth Life Project (YLP) is a non-governmental, non-partisan, and non-profit making youth-led organization that was established in August 2015 in Kalingalinga, Lusaka, Zambia. Our quest is to share accumulated experience and knowledge to

identify both strengths and weaknesses in political, social, health, and economic participation of youth, vulnerable, and the differently abled. The Youth Life Project is registered with the Youth Development Council as a youth-led Non-governmental organization on 16th December 2020. We work with various partners and strategic stakeholders like community-based Organizations, churches, government wings, and the needy communities in order to fulfill our quested roles of supporting all aspects of developmental endeavors. This is attained by carrying out sensitization programs on voter education, human rights, and environmental and civic education. VISION
Our vision is to create a society balanced enough to support sustained development in the Youth through democratic processes and advocacy for a better and all-inclusive Zambia. In order to have a voice and also to see a community with empowered youths who will champion a new era of development, growth, productivity, and good health as well as alleviate abject poverty and vulnerability that exposes them to early marriages, alcohol and drug abuse and expose them to being used as tools of crime and victims of gender-based and domestic violence. AIM
We aim at touching the lives of every youth by igniting a new fire of hope and giving their voice back to them regardless of gender, race, color, tribe, religion, and political affiliation. This is through programs that will enhance productivity, trigger creativity and awaken one to take responsibility for their livelihood. To create a bridge between national, traditional, and local leaders with the young people who are the majority, and to ensure that there is provision and acquisition of quality and equitable education in skills, entrepreneurship, and health to the youth, the vulnerable, and the differently abled. OUR BELIEF
We believe that a greener Zambia begins with the youth. Therefore, wasting youth is depriving mother Zambia of realizing her potential for a promising future. SPONSORS
We have had an MoU with ActionAid Zambia for the Climate Justice campaign. We still are not on any sponsorship from any organization both government or non-governmental organizations to run our programs. We remain hopeful of receiving support from our government as major stakeholders, the Private sector, and individuals as deemed fit. WHO BENEFITS
Apart from a common Youth that needs help in form of Skills and Entrepreneurial training is concerned especially those in the bracket age group of Youth. The families, communities and the nation at large are major beneficiaries of this effort. HOW MANY HAVE BENEFITED
Since the inception of the school sponsorship program in the year 2017, at least 53 Youth beneficiaries have witnessed firsthand. OUR OBJECTIVES

□ To empower youth with education and skill sets to enhance developmental activities.

□ To defend human rights, and challenge gender inequality, and child abuse.

□ To take action on health matters affecting youth and the vulnerable.

📣 KALINGALINGA YOUTH, YOUR VOICE IS YOUR POWER! 🇿🇲🔥

Tomorrow, the future of Ward 36 is on the table. We’re putting the candidates Conrad Chitambala (UPND), Mukubesa Nyoni (Independent), Jack Mwiiya (NRUP), and Kelvin Chilufya (NRP) in the hot seat! 🪑⚡

Join the Youth Life Project tomorrow as we push to Protect, Inform, and Empower our community. We are making sure the youth have a formal seat at the decision-making table. The candidates will be signing the Kalingalinga Ward 36 Community Priority Matrix social contract live! ✍🏾📜

We imagine, We pursue, We demand.
More than the bill, we need a rehabilitation center in the quest to recover and or salvage what we continue to lose by reluctantly and passively nodding our heads in agreement without action.
