OFFICIAL REPORT - MEETING AT INTERCITY BUS STATION

Date: 18th September 2026
Attendees: 3 Representatives from CFND
Met with: Assistant Manager, Intercity Bus Station
Subject:Market Connections, Cleaning Program & Donation

We successfully attended the scheduled program at Intercity today. We held a productive meeting with the Assistant Manager at Intercity Bus Station.

The discussion was very much on point. As CFND, we aired our views and tabled the following requests:

1. Connection to Western Province: We requested a formal connection to Western Province.

2. Connection to Other Markets: We requested linkages to other markets across the country.

Response from Management:
The Assistant Manager has assured us that confirmation will be given by this week . He stated that next week, we should expect a call from management to schedule a serious meeting for us with one of the Chairmen in charge of markets in Lusaka (Osala area, if I am not mistaken).

Key Opportunity:

The market cleaning program is set to be rolled out at a national level. As CFND, we have expressed interest to be part and parcel of this program.

We also raised the issue of Matero, and management has promised to work on a good connection to link us to him.

āœ…Donation Made:
As a sign of commitment and goodwill to support the cleaning program, CFND also donated metal rakes to be used for the market cleaning exercise. This was highly appreciated by management and shows that we are not just talking, but we are ready to work.

Let us keep our fingers crossed as we await a positive response from management next week.

Thank you.
