Social Green Network at the Forefront of Clean Energy Transformation
We are proud to share that Social Green Network (SGN), through its Founder and Director, Ronald Mwape, recently participated in the Training-of-Trainers (ToT) Programme in Renewable Energy, following a nomination by the Zambia Association of Manufacturers.
This important programme, supported by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations under the FACE-NDC initiative, is aimed at building a national network of skilled trainers to accelerate Zambia’s transition to clean and sustainable energy solutions.
As SGN, we had the privilege of participating in two key training programmes:
✅ Clean Cooking Solutions
✅ Sustainable Charcoal Substitutes in the Tourism and Food Sector
We sincerely thank ZAM for the nomination and reaffirm our commitment to actively contribute to ZAM’s programmes as part of this growing network of Trainers of Trainers (ToTs). This opportunity strengthens our role in advancing sustainability, climate action, and green innovation across Zambia.
This training is a significant milestone—not just for SGN, but for the broader national agenda on renewable energy. As part of the National Renewable Energy Trainers Network, SGN is committed to:
🔹 Driving awareness and adoption of clean cooking solutions
🔹 Supporting businesses in transitioning to sustainable energy alternatives
🔹 Facilitating community-based training and knowledge sharing
🔹 Integrating clean energy solutions into SGN’s platform and programmes
We also look forward to future collaborations with FAO and the Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre, whose open and forward-thinking approach to renewable energy training and advocacy is truly commendable.
A special appreciation goes to KGRTC for hosting the training. From their expert facilitation to their outstanding hospitality, world-class facilities, and tranquil surroundings, the experience was both enriching and inspiring.
At SGN, we believe that clean energy is not just an environmental priority—it is a pathway to sustainable livelihoods, economic growth, and a resilient future.
