The journey continues... 🇿🇲✈️🇨🇭

A few months ago, we celebrated earning the opportunity to represent Zambia at the AI for Good Youth Robotics Challenge International Finals. Today, that journey has become a reality.

On 7th July, our team departed for Geneva, Switzerland, where we will be competing alongside some of the brightest young innovators from around the world. The team arrived safely on 8th July, ready to proudly carry the Zambian flag onto the international stage.

Yesterday marked the official start of the competition, and we took part in our first practice match. It was an exciting opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the competition field, test our robot, and make final adjustments ahead of the qualification rounds.

Regardless of the outcome, simply being here is already a milestone. It represents months of hard work, perseverance, learning, and the unwavering belief that young people in Zambia can build solutions that stand alongside the very best in the world.

To everyone who has supported us throughout this journey, our mentors, partners, friends, families, and everyone cheering us on from home, thank you. Your encouragement has made this experience possible.

We're excited for what lies ahead and look forward to sharing more updates from Geneva.

Team Zambia is ready.🇿🇲🤖

Celebrating a Milestone for Plastal-bot Builders! 🤖

We are incredibly proud to share that Plastal-Bot Builders delivered an outstanding performance at the AI for Good Youth Robotics Challenge (National Edition) held on 31st March.

This achievement is the result of weeks of dedication, sleepless nights, virtual meetings, and strong team spirit. With a clear goal to improve on our previous performance, the team pushed boundaries—and we’re proud to say that effort has paid off.

🏆 We emerged winners in the Senior Category, and we are honored to have the opportunity to represent Zambia at the international finals in Geneva, Switzerland later this year.

This milestone is not just a win for our team, but a reflection of what young innovators can achieve when passion meets purpose.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the organizers and supporters who made this journey possible:

EO Robotics Lab and E-MARK for organizing the competition
Makerspace Zambia for their continuous support and guidance throughout our development process
TME Education for supporting innovation and empowering young creators

Your contributions have played a significant role in shaping this success.

As we prepare for the international stage, we remain committed to learning, improving, and representing our country to the best of our ability. 🇿🇲✨
