Accountability is fundamental in a democracy, and no one should be exempt from the law. However, justice must also be impartial and free from political interference. The public deserves transparency in these cases, and the evidence should take precedence over political statements. Equal application of the law means fair trials for all, not just selective prosecution. If Zambia is to thrive, let justice be served to all people regardless of political aspiration. Let's advocate for true democracy. ⚖️

Combating corruption demands a concerted effort from all stakeholders, within and beyond Zambia's borders. The youth are crucial partners in this fight. However, Zambia's anti-corruption efforts have been thwarted by the government's insufficient political will. Those in power have misused the fight against corruption to resolve political differences. Investigative bodies' autonomy is compromised due to external interference, and governments often shield corrupt individuals, affording them unwarranted immunity. We call upon those responsible to uphold professionalism in the fight against corruption. 🚫💪🏽👮‍♂️

The fight against corruption should indeed be fair, transparent, and inclusive, rather than being influenced by political motivations. It is essential that new board members of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) act with integrity, focus on justice, and refrain from being used as tools for political agendas. The involvement of the younger generation in this fight is crucial, as they bring fresh perspectives, energy, and a commitment to accountability. Everyone, regardless of age or political affiliation, must be held to the same standard in the pursuit of a corruption-free society.
