Disasters like flooding are to be taken seriously by members of the public, government and other stakeholders. The government of the republic of Zambia through the leadership of Mr Hakainde Hichilema the President has shown great concern towards this devastating situation. We thank the government, disaster management and mitigation unit for their quick response to the affected areas and families. It is also important that the citizenry should take serious precautions and investigations before settling and building in flood prone communities to avoid such occurrences in future. May the victims be safe and sound during these trying moments. Disaster Management is everyone’s responsibility. safe and alert ‼️

In the picture below, it can be seen that some members of the public decided to risk it all by trying to collect some fuel that was leaking from the fuel tanker. These people did not even care about the danger they were exposing themselves to. People need to be safety conscious and always be prepared for anything. Disaster management is everyone’s responsibility. Let us stay informed and help reduce the risks .
