Yesterday we were on the ground for the 4th Commemoration of the African Child

Theme: _Access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Every Child in Africa_

Being there in person was powerful. We heard directly from pupils, leaders, and partners about why WASH in schools isn’t just “nice-to-have”, it’s a "right". Clean water plus proper sanitation equals dignity, health, and better learning for every child.

ADVOCACY, CHILD SAFEGUARDING & PROTECTION, GENDER EQUALITY, AND ONLINE SAFETY || 2ND & 3RD JUNE 2026.

Here to Love conducted a training for School Councils at Chibombo Primary School aimed at promoting skills in Advocacy, Child Protection and Safeguarding, Gender Equality and Online Safety.

This activity was successfully implemented with funds from Plan International Zambia on the Space ro Lead Project. The sessions were covered with support from Facilitators from ChildLine LifeLine and Zambia National Women's Lobby.

MONITORING VISIT TO ASSESS RADIO PROGRAM AND STRENGTHENING OF YFS AT FACILITY LEVEL. 2nd JUNE 2026.

The HTL team conducted Monitoring of two activities, the Radio Program aimed at raising SRHR awareness to Adolescents and Young People, also the activity aimed at Strengthening Youth Friendly Services at Chibombo RHC, on the Space to Lead Project. Gratitude to the Focus Consultation (GFC) Executive Director, Dr. Phiri, for the support in conducting this activity.

MONITORING VISIT TO ASSESS RADIO PROGRAM AND STRENGTHENING OF YFS AT FACILITY LEVEL. 2nd JUNE 2026.

The HTL team conducted Monitoring of two activities, the Radio Program aimed at raising SRHR awareness to Adolescents and Young People, also the activity aimed at Strengthening Youth Friendly Services at St. Thomas Mission Hospital, on the Space to Lead Project. Finance Training on the SPACE TO LEAD Project from 2nd to 5th June 2026.

We are happy to have sent 2 Finance and Administration Officers to attend the Finance Training conducted by Plan International Zambia in Kabwe, Central Province. The training saw participation of Project partners AAAZ, ZNWL, GFC, CLLL, TYP, ETE, SYO and HTL.

Menstrual Hygiene Day Commemmoration at Bwafwano in Chazanga Compound on 28th May 2026.

The participants were a combination of adolescent girls from Bwafwano Community School, David Livingstone School and girls coming from surrounding communities.
