CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS: COMMUNITY YOUTH LEADERS
Are you a passionate young person eager to create change in your community?
Youth Projects Development Platform (YPDP), with support from the AU-EU Youth Lab, is inviting applications from Community Youth Leaders to join From Margins to Leadership (FML), a 12-month project designed to empower rural and marginalized youth, including persons with disabilities, from Northern, Muchinga, Luapula, and Southern Provinces.
Through this initiative, participants will gain non-formal education and practical training in human rights, access to information, dialogue mechanisms, public speaking, and advocacy strategies. Selected Community Youth Leaders will amplify youth voices, represent their peers, and actively contribute to planning and implementing community development initiatives at ward and constituency levels. They will also have opportunities to represent their communities at national, regional, and continental forums, with the full support of YPDP and its partners.
FML seeks to increase youth impact in decision-making processes, policy reviews, and policy formulation, contributing to Zambia’s 8th National Development Plan, Vision 2030, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

•Develop skills to influence policy, shape development plans, and mobilize your community.
•Gain a clear understanding of community development and governance processes.
•Actively engage in Constituency Development Fund (CDF), National Development Plans, and policy dialogues with ministries and decision-makers.
•Access opportunities to contribute at SADC and African Union platforms, showcasing your community’s voice regionally and continentally.
