🎊🥳 5 Years Strong 🥳🎊
And now scaling our Impact across borders!! 🇲🇼

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Ndovie Jnr our Programs and Logistics Officer/Health Initiatives Coordinator, is currently in Lilongwe, Malawi, participating in the Lilongwe International People's Health University (IPHU) and the People's Health Movement (PHM) Southern & Eastern Africa Regional Climate & Health Week 2026.

The workshop, running from 25th to 30th August, provides an opportunity to explore how climate change is increasingly shaping health outcomes and deepening existing health inequalities, particularly across vulnerable communities in Africa.

Key discussions at the workshop are centered on but not limited to, examining Climate Change's broader health burdens, including extreme weather events, food and water insecurity, infectious diseases, mental health impacts, displacement, and pressure on already stretched health systems.

As Scientific initiatives Zambia, we equally believe that Climate change is not only an environmental challenge but also a health and social justice issue.

Therefore, we continue to learn, share perspectives, connect with fellow health advocates, and contribute to conversations on building climate-resilient, equitable, and people-centered health systems.

It is such engagements that result in healthier and more developed communities.

📢 19TH AUGUST IS SO SPECIAL TO US! 🎉

Five years ago, we took a bold step to serve our local communities in a unique way, the best way we knew how. Looking back now, we can confidently say: we knew something, didn't we?

But we certainly didn’t know everything! 😄

The journey has been exciting, challenging, rewarding, and, at times, a very good teacher. We have faced hurdles, celebrated victories, learned important lessons, grown together, and gathered experiences that have prepared us for the next chapter.

Yesterday,, 19th August, we are grateful for 5 years of purpose, service, growth, collaboration, partnerships, support, mistakes, lessons, resilience and impact. And yes, we are still here! 😂🙌

Here is a small pictorial glimpse of the journey so far, although, honestly, this collection is far from complete. Watch this space for more memories and milestones in the coming weeks. 📸

As the Scientific initiatives for a Healthy and Developed Zambia (SiHDZ), through some of our values; Innovation, Solidarity, Inclusivity and Evidence, we aim to promote and support local community ideas and initiatives, but as technology advances, we believe no one should be left behind, and no one should be unsafe online if we are build sustainable communities and cities, local people need to be empowered with AI, Digital skills and with access to cyber security information.

That is why we believe digital transformation must go hand in hand with a human rights-based approach, ensuring that digital spaces are inclusive, accessible, safe, secure, and empowering for everyone.

We are looking for individuals who can transform knowledge into practical learning experiences and help young people, women and persons with disabilities confidently navigate the digital world.

Volunteer trainers will have an opportunity to contribute their expertise, facilitate practical sessions, mentor participants and support the development of inclusive, safe and responsible digital communities. If you have knowledge, experience and a passion for teaching others, we would love to hear from you.
