The Lord Our Shepherd

Psalm 23:1-6 GNTD

[1] The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need. [2] He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water. [3] He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised. [4] Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, Lord, for you are with me. Your shepherd's rod and staff protect me. [5] You prepare a banquet for me, where all my enemies can see me; you welcome me as an honored guest and fill my cup to the brim. [6] I know that your goodness and love will be with me all my life; and your house will be my home as long as I live.

Psalms 20:4-6 NIV

May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests. Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.

Matthew 18:10 NLT

Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

ALLOW ALL WORKERS TO EXERCISE THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO VOTE

I am calling upon all employers in Roan Constituency, and especially contractors at CNMC Luanshya Copper Mines, to allow all workers to exercise their democratic and constitutional right to go and vote on 13th AUGUST, 2026.

I am aware that some contractors are forcing miners to go for work and which will affect them not to vote. This is wrong, illegal and unacceptable.

My appeal to the relevant authorities – Ministry of Labour, ECZ and Labour Department in Luanshya – is:
Ensure that all workers, both in the formal and informal sector, essential and non-essential, are allowed time to go and vote. For critical areas allow them on Rotational but treated as overtime.

Let the people choose freely who their next leaders will be. No intimidation. No threats. No forced shifts.

It is our right to vote.

Let’s turn out in large numbers on 13th August to choose leaders who have been suffering with the community and have been speaking for the people, especially the miners. Not those who only comes at last minute during elections.

Roan deserves leaders who respect the law and respect the people.

Jeremiah 1:5, 7-8 GNTD

“I chose you before I gave you life, and before you were born I selected you to be a prophet to the nations.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say that you are too young, but go to the people I send you to, and tell them everything I command you to say. Do not be afraid of them, for I will be with you to protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!”
