Taking a little break from work to play.

During our meeting yesterday, we explored art, culture, and creativity with the girls by having a tour of Wayi Wayi Art Studio and Gallery. 🎨✨ This was done so as to familiarize the girls with the environment were we meet, as well as to create for an opportunity to learn and inspire, art enthusiasts and cultural leaders. An art gallery offers a multifaceted learning experience that combines artistic appreciation, critical thinking, creativity, and community building.

Last Saturday, we combined with Friends of change boys club to welcome the new members who joined us. We took this time to do introductions, as well as go through the club rules. TSome of our rules are; keeping time, maintaining proper hygiene, listening to others, no segregation, and more. his aspect of rules is important as it helps to create a safe environment for all, as well as create personal accountability.

We saw some incredible creativity flowing last Saturday when we painted our own decorative bottles, some serious self-love in action. While some splattered colors, others delicately crafted intricate designs, every stroke a testament to the girls uniqueness and creativity🌟. But It wasn't just about the finished product, the journey too. The girls took time for themselves, immersing in the creative process, and letting their imagination run wild—all part of practicing self-care and self-love. 💖

Last Saturday, we played a 'What would you do' game with the girls. I read out a situation and the girls sorted out the given response cards to give a solution. This was a fun way to discuss possible solutions to situations girls go through. For example, in a situation were your friends invite you to party but you were tired and need rest, we agreed that the best solution is to thank them politely and excuse yourself.
