Nearly 100 Million. That’s the number of girls around the world who are not enrolled in secondary school.
One of the leading barriers to girls completing school is the lack of access to menstrual hygiene management when they hit puberty. It takes everyone including boys and entire communities, governments, businesses, institutions and even you, to break the stigma and ensure every single girl can manage her period properly and access an education.
In the poorest countries, girls currently lack education about periods, as well as menstrual health products and facilities like proper toilets and tampons. Without these tools to manage their periods, girls often feel uncomfortable and even face health implications, which ultimately force them to drop out or not participate in school.
Act now ahead of Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28!
You can help by calling on world leaders to prioritize menstrual hygiene management initiatives and by joining the global menstrual health product drive.
