The NGO’s work revolves around building the capacity of rural communities to tackle challenges that face them and thereby lead sustainable, productive lives. Our current focus areas are economic empowerment through food security interventions (agricultural trainings related to diversification of crops and best farming practices, business skills and linkages as well as the provision of revolving lo
ans and microcredit), improving access to education (infrastructure development and educational support to orphans and vulnerable children in the form of school fees, uniforms and materials) and health and HIV and AIDS interventions including HIV prevention, care, support and treatment activities, as well as sexual and reproductive health and maternal health initiatives. ZDRF is governed by a Board of Trustees that oversees the work of the Director.
