Youth 2 Youth Zambia was represented by our Director at the Active Citizenship and Community Action (ACCA) Programme District Stakeholder Engagement convened by Transparency International Zambia in Livingstone.

We remain committed to promoting active citizenship, youth participation, transparency, and accountability through meaningful collaboration with stakeholders.

I was honoured to represent Youth 2 Youth Zambia at the Active Citizenship and Community Action (ACCA) Programme district stakeholder engagement convened by Transparency International Zambia in Livingstone on 9th June 2026.

The engagement brought together legal aid organisations, civil society organisations, and community-based structures to strengthen citizen-led corruption reporting through the Advocacy and Legal Advice Centre (ALAC).

The commitment by participating organisations to integrate corruption reporting into their existing complaint-handling systems and establish stronger referral pathways is a significant step towards promoting accountability, transparency, and active citizen participation at the district level.

As young people, we have a critical role to play in promoting integrity, demanding accountability, and contributing to the development of transparent institutions. I remain committed to advancing active citizenship and creating platforms where young people can meaningfully participate in governance and community development.

My sincere appreciation to Transparency International Zambia for creating this important platform and to all stakeholders who continue to champion transparency and good governance.

Today, we honour the legacy of our founding father Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, a leader whose vision of unity, peace, and service continues to guide Zambia.

He began this journey as a young man, proving that leadership is not about age, but purpose and courage. He became the leader his generation needed.
As he once said, “Zambia’s strength lies not in its wealth, but in its people, and especially its young people.” This is our call to action.

As young people, we must rise to build on his legacy, to lead, to serve, and to shape a better Zambia.
At Youth 2 Youth Zambia, we believe the future is in our hands.

Let us connect, empower, and transform.

On Wednesday, 1st April 2026, Youth 2 Youth Zambia , in collaboration with the Absa Mosi-oa-Tunya Innovation Hub, hosted a one-hour skills development session, facilitated by Ms. Tisa Botha the Innovation Hub Coordinator, and was designed to help young people between the ages of 18 and 35 gain the skills needed for work and business.

The session focused on introducing participants to two important self-paced learning programs that allow young people to study and grow at their own speed.

The first program introduced was the Absa Ready to Work Programme. This is a self-paced platform where participants can gain employability skills such as writing a CV, preparing for interviews, and communicating professionally. It also provides training for those interested in starting a business by teaching business planning, proposal writing, and financial literacy. This program is a valuable tool for anyone looking to manage people better and succeed in a professional environment.

The session also featured an introduction to the ElevateHer AI Programme. This self-paced learning initiative helps young people understand artificial intelligence and how to use it in education, business, and career development. Participants were shown how to access mentorship opportunities and other helpful learning resources to improve their digital literacy. By using this program, young leaders can learn how to apply modern technology to solve problems and improve their professional lives.

Youth 2 Youth Zambia thanks everyone who attended the session at the Mosi-oa-Tunya Innovation Hub. It was encouraging to see so many young people interested in using these digital programs to build a better future for themselves.
