Elephants are ecosystem engineers. They shape landscapes by creating pathways, dispersing seeds, and maintaining ecosystems that countless other species depend upon. Despite their importance, elephants face growing pressures from habitat fragmentation, human-elephant conflict, and illegal wildlife trade.

Despite their importance, elephants face growing pressures from habitat fragmentation, human-elephant conflict, and illegal wildlife trade.

WWF Zambia works with communities, government, and conservation partners to promote peaceful coexistence between people and elephants while safeguarding critical habitats across Zambia's priority landscapes.

Every elephant protected is a step toward healthier ecosystems and resilient communities.

Together, let's ensure these gentle giants continue to roam Zambia's landscapes for generations to come.
