African Impact - Livingstone Community Projects African Impact has been working in partnership with the local communities of Livingstone since 2006.

African Impact are leaders in the volunteer travel industry in Africa and experts in responsible volunteering, gap year programs, study abroad service learning and internships in Africa. Livingstone, Zambia is the flagship location as the first project site for African Impact’s community development programmes. Here in Livingstone, we are dedicated to providing assistance in long term sustainable

development initiatives to a wide range of projects including, education, medical assistance, social welfare, sports coaching and training for many local communities. Ever wondered what an afternoon of eco-building looks like?

We used 253 eco-bricks this week, turning 50.6kg of plastic waste into something useful - 3 brand new tree rings!

Huge thanks to our incredible volunteers for the hard work and passion. Every bottle stuffed is one less in the landfill and one step closer to a cleaner environment.

A truly Zambian meal! 🇿🇲✨

On Friday afternoon we hosted a cultural day for our volunteers. The menu was pure Zambian - nshima, caterpillars, fisashi, eggplant, kapenta, fritters, and more. It was amazing watching everyone try new dishes and share laughs over a good meal.

Moments like these are what volunteering is about: learning, connecting, and celebrating together.
