Today, Trust And Friends Foundation TAFF proudly joined fellow youth organizations from across the Copperbelt at a pivotal meeting on the Dissemination of the 2024 National Youth Policy.

Hosted at Levy Mwanawansa Stadium in Ndola, and organized by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts in partnership with the National Youth Development Council - Zambia (NYDC), this gathering brought together passionate voices for meaningful dialogue on youth development, engagement, and empowerment.

Key discussions centered on the implementation of the updated policy, ensuring that young people across Zambia are informed, included, and empowered to play an active role in shaping the nation's future.

As Trust and Friends Foundation , we remain committed to advocating for inclusive policies and amplifying the voices of young people everywhere. Together, we can build a brighter, more empowered Zambia. 🇿🇲

I'm passionate about using this platform to advocate for girls' rights, because I strongly believe that a girl child needs to be protected and feel safe all the time.

Particularly empowering them to know their rights and speak up against injustices like defilement ,r**e and any sexual abuse.

These issues are alarmingly common, and it's heartbreaking to see girls silenced, often due to family pressures , bribery ,fear of being a laughing stock to the community or a disgrace to the society,I believe every girl child deserves a voice, and it's crucial we encourage them to speak out.

I aim to amplify this message, inspiring girls to stand confidently, demand their rights, and never be silenced.

I also want to advocate against period poverty, that is one of the biggest challenges that a girl child faces mostly. I want to help in impacting girls with knowledge on good sanitation and helping them with sanitary products that way it will help girls from low income homes have courage and improve their self esteem.

we will have a lot of girls go back to school for those that shun away due to lack of sanitary pads.
