TITLE : DON'T QUIT
TEXT: 1 Samuel 30 :1-10
- The devil wants you to quit what God has given to you.
1 .THINGS THAT PEOPLE QUIT
- jobs
- studies
- marriage, relationships, business, ministries.
- people quit on life.
2. REASONS WHY PEOPLE QUIT.
a. People get exhausted.
- When you are tired, get some rest. Do not give up.
b. People quit because they are discouraged.
- People are discouraged by friends and lecturers.
- Do not associate with people who are always talking about the devil as if God does not exist.
c. Failure to handle opposition or failure to handle failure.
- Every successful person knew failure before they knew success.
- You must learn how to handle failure.
- You can do all things through Christ who strengths you.
- No amount of deliverance can fix the issue of mindset problems .
d. People quit because they are distracted.
- Being distracted does not matter how long you are distracted. Distraction at whatever rate is the same.
- Be focused. Practice focus.
- When you begin to focus, some things will suffer.
- Know your priorities.
c. People quit because they are attacked by the enemy.
- People have different foundations.
f. Because they doubt God's Word.
3. BEFORE YOU QUIT.
a. Find strength in the Lord your God.
- Get clarity from God.
b. Be encouraged by those who never gave up.
- Surround yourself with encouragers.
- Read about people who have succeeded.
- When you're walking with God, only God knows what you're capable of doing.
- Take the word of God in the area of need.
c. Stand in the Word of God.
- David was wise and he pursued and recovered.
- Fast and pray for your marriage.
- Fix your eyes on Jesus.
You can ask the holy spirit for anything and do not quit.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Pray for mercy and forgiveness. Fire me up and Fill me.
2. Pray for the spirit of discouragement to be cast out and inherit the spirit of encouragement .
3. Pray for an inquiry from the Lord, let him guide and lead you.
4. Ask for God's help in whatever is going on, in your life either academically or spiritually.
