Roots of Care is a community development organisation in Zambia working towards stronger communities and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

We believe meaningful development begins by listening to communities, recognising their strengths and creating opportunities for people to grow.

Our work focuses on four key areas:

Roots of Care is working towards stronger communities through women's economic empowerment, sustainable livelihoods, education and youth leadership.

As we reconnect here, we look forward to sharing our journey, reflecting on lessons from our community work and exploring opportunities to collaborate with organisations and individuals who share our vision.

🎉 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🎉

Our very own founder, Chibwe Mwansa has been awarded a full scholarship to join the prestigious _Grant Writing and Funding (GWF) Workshop 2026_ – “I’m Taking Proposal Writing to the Next Level” program. This incredible opportunity will empower her to sharpen her grant‑writing skills and drive impactful projects for our community.

We’re thrilled to celebrate Chibwe’s achievement and look forward to the innovative initiatives she’ll bring back to transform Africa’s leadership landscape! Thank you Leaders of Africa
