NEVER FORGET YOUR BEGINNING OR WHERE YOU’RE COMING FROM
At some point in life, especially in university or while pursuing your dreams, you may feel like giving up. Whether you’re in your first year, second year, or final year, the pressure can be overwhelming. But in those moments, pause and remember where you started.
There was a time when being where you are now was just a dream. You prayed for this opportunity. You desired to be in that institution, to pursue that career. So why give up now when you have already begun? The journey may be hard, and adapting may not be easy, but every effort you are putting in will one day pay off. It will all make sense.
The same applies to our Christian walk. Following Christ is not always easy. There are trials, temptations, and moments when it feels like your prayers are not being answered. But remember where God has brought you from. Before you gave your life to Christ, things were different. Look at you now not just materially, but spiritually. You have grown. You have built a relationship with God that is worth protecting.
The Bible reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:13: “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear…”
This means every challenge you face, you have the strength through God to overcome it. Even Jesus Christ was tempted, yet He overcame (Matthew 4:1–11). That is a reminder that trials are part of the journey, but victory is possible.
In life generally, things may not always go as planned. People may disappoint you. Goals may take longer than expected. You may feel tired, discouraged, or even lost. But remember you have overcome so much already. If you have made it this far, what makes you think you cannot go further?
Think about it: you have handled more than half of what life has thrown at you. Why give up now?
Also, learn to be grateful. What you have today, someone else is praying for. That food on your table, that job, that opportunity,no matter how small it seems is a blessing. The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Gratitude shifts your perspective and reminds you that God is still at work in your life.
So keep pushing. Keep going. Do not give up.
Pray without ceasing. Put God first in everything you do (Matthew 6:33). And whenever you can, lend a helping hand to others.
You are closer than you think. Your breakthrough, your success, your victory,it’s coming.
Never forget your beginning. Never forget where you’re coming from.
Keep going. Keep believing. Keep fighting.
You will make it.
