Just completed an eye-opening M&E visit to Vangulula House in Luanda, Votoka organization, Kalukembi Hospital in Kalukembi and CEML Hospital in Lubango, four organizations that are truly changing the landscape of fistula care in Angola!

But the need remains immense.

We met women who have traveled very long distances sometimes hundreds of kilometers just to access treatment. We met women who have lived with fistula for over 40 years, still waiting, still hoping, still carrying the weight in silence.

These visits were a powerful reminder: fistula is not just a medical condition. It's a story of isolation, loss, and resilience. And in Angola, access to care is still a major barrier.

Traveling with my leader, the Chief Program Officer Dr. Esther Njoroge Murithi, throughout these ten days has been an incredible mentorship and learning journey. I'm deeply grateful for how she mentors me, challenging me to see deeper, think bigger, and lead with both heart and precision. Thank you, Dr. Esther, for pouring into me. 🙏

A deep thank you to Vangulula House, Votoka, Kalukembi and CEML, for your relentless commitment. You are not just treating fistulas , you are restoring dignity, hope, and futures.!🙏

And to the Fistula Foundation – thank you for your continued support. Without you, much of this life-changing work would not be possible. You are helping to close not just the physical holes, but the gaps in a broken system.

The work is far from over. More awareness. More access. More trained surgeons. More support for these women who have waited decades.

Let's keep going. 💪

💪🏾 Recommitting to Her Health. Inviting You to Partner With Us!
At Ubuumi Busuma Foundation, we believe no woman should lack access to basic health care, dignity, or safe maternal support.

Today, we recommit to walking alongside the women in our communities — because when she is healthy, entire families thrive.

But we can’t do it alone.

We are inviting corporate partners, donor organizations, and impact-driven individuals to sponsor our Women’s Health Programs, which include:
🩺 Reproductive health education
👩🏾‍🍼 Maternal and antenatal support
🩸 Menstrual hygiene management
🧾 Cancer screening awareness and referrals

Your partnership — whether one-time, monthly, or project-based — will directly fund life-saving services and supplies for women who need them most.

📌 Ways to partner with us:
✅ Sponsor a community health outreach
✅ Donate medical supplies or sanitary products
✅ Fund a mobile clinic day
✅ Become a recurring program partner

Let’s build a future where women’s health is never an afterthought.

📩 DM us or email [email protected] discuss partnership opportunities.

To the woman who feels like a flower—wilting inside but still blooming outside:

We see the tears you wipe away before walking through the door. 💧

We see you grieving the children you couldn't carry, while celebrating everyone else's.
We see you living with a body that hurts or leaks from childbirth, feeling like no one understands.
We see you scrolling through your phone at night, desperately wishing someone would check on you.
We see your heart racing with anxiety while your face stays calm.
We see the weight of depression pressing down on you, making every step feel heavy.

These silent shames infertility, obstetric fistula, neglected birth injuries, loneliness, anxiety, depression they try to convince you that you are alone. That you are broken. That you should hide.

But here's the truth: You are not your shame. You are not your struggle. And you are not alone.

This Women's Week, we are holding space for YOU. The real you. The hurting you. The healing you. The blooming you.

We see you. We are with you. Always. 🌸
