Building Hope in Mapili Community in Kapiri Mposhi.
At Sombo Charity Foundation, we believe every child deserves a safe and dignified place to learn.
When we visited *Mapili Village in Kapiri Mposhi*, we found children learning in a terrible environment, under trees, in makeshift shelters, with no desks, no proper walls, and no protection from the weather. The passion to learn was there, but the conditions were holding them back.
We knew we had to act.
*What we have done so far:*
1. *Engaged Leadership*: We approached the traditional leader of Mapili Village. He graciously allocated traditional land for the school project.
2. *Community Mobilization*: We mobilized the community. Parents, elders, and youth came together with one goal to build a school for their children.
3. *Construction Started*: Through donations and the generosity of well wishers, we started building a *1 x 3 classroom block from scratch*.
Today, the structure has reached *roof level*. Brick by brick, we are turning hope into reality.
*The Need:*
Over *400 children* from Mapili and surrounding villages are waiting to use this school. But to open its doors, we still need to *fully furnish* the classrooms with desks, chairs, blackboards, and learning materials.
*Our Call:*
Sombo Charity Foundation is seeking partners, donors, and well wishers to help us complete and furnish this school. The walls are up. The roof is going on. Now we need your help to make it a fully functional learning space.
This school will change lives. It will keep children in class, improve literacy, and give an entire community a future.
Join us in completing what we started.
*Together, we can build more than a classroom. We can build futures.*
