THE STORY OF MY LIFE; THE STORY THAT WILL PUT A SMILE ON YOU!

19 years ago, my dream of completing a Bachelor's degree at The Copperbelt University (CBU) was shattered. I was trapped in deep alcoholism and heavy ma*****na abuse. One night, under the influence, I threw myself from the first-floor balcony at CBU where I was sitting with the aim of ending my life due to feelings of academic failure, I hit the ground hard on stones and was knocked unconscious. I was rushed to Kitwe Central Hospital and stayed there for one month. After I was discharged, doctors advised me to withdraw from my studies on medical grounds because I had constant, severe headaches. That day, I lost more than school, I lost hope, lost direction, and gave up on my future. I sank into depression and became a worse drunkard. I forgot my vision.
But thanks be to God, the God of second chances who rescued me by His grace through Christ Jesus. Today, I stand with joy and tears in the absence of my Grandma whom I believe she is in a better place, am proud to share that I have successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mental Health and Clinical Psychiatry (BSc MHCP) from Levy Mwanawasa Medical University and also celebrating 9 years 1 months 8 days free from alcohol and drug use and now re-married with three children after undergoing painful divorce.
I am also now the author of two life changing books:
1. Triumph Over Alcohol and Drug Addiction
2. The Proven Code: My Practical Steps to Recovery
These books are not just words on pages, they are my life, my pain, my healing, and God’s power written down to help others rise too.

I once stayed in a compound with three flats jointly attached together,

Unfortunately my house started having lots of cockroaches that they would even fly on top of my head and it became so frustrating,

I hate cockroaches for God's sake! Imagine you are sited with guests only for a cockroach to fly direct in your guests mouth 😳, it was really bad and embarrassing!

I decided to have the house fumigated and that's how all the cockroaches died! I was so happy, but my happiness was short lived!

After a week, cockroaches started reappearing from no where as if they are have been sent from the land of the dead to torment me!

I fumigated the house once more but the situation repeated it self!

Then I realized I was missing something, it was not about my house alone being free from cockroaches, it was about my entire compound being free!

I later on learnt that my neighbors were having the same problem but unfortunately we used to fumigate our houses on different times so cockroaches were moving from one house to the other.

I got reminded of a man who kept coming back to the hospital every week with sexually transmitted infections and we wondered why the medications weren't working until we realized that he was only treating himself and not his partner and hence kept reinfecting himself.

Thats how life is, The success of your friend is directly tied to your success.

If you want to win at the expense of your friends failure, you are simply shooting yourself in the foot, If you want to have a long lived life free of cockroaches, make sure you kill them together with your friends, rise together and win together

Don't let jealous make you pull down the person God is positioning to come and lift you up.

You will end up being jealous of your future destiny helper. Avoid building your success at the expense of your friends tears and failures🙏

There is enough room for everyone of us to shine!
