THE PRIME STORY OF HOPE, STORY OF YESHUA

A lot has happened over the long weekend, the religious space has been filled with celebrations as many christians celebrated the death and resurrection of Jesus. Whether this festival called Easter is biblical or not is not in the scope of this devotion. One thing however stand out from this perceived christian tradition, many recognize that there once lived a man called Jesus who came to earth by supernatural birth.

According to christian writings, Yeshua or Jesus, also called Christ was crucified and died for the sins of the world. But one might ask, "why celebrate if someone died?" Well, Jesus did not just die and go just like that. The renowned Historian and gospel writer Luke records that an angel told the women who took embalming spices to the tomb on Sunday morning, "He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."— Luke 24:6-7

The Joy of many christians is because Jesus resurrected. The story of Jesus is the greatest that can ever be told to men. It is the prime time headline all newscasters should herald. Christ had victory over death and now he lives for his people that they too will have life. The Psalmist proclaims, "Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5)

May the Joy of the morning of this new month push you through. Let the father resurrect that which was dead in your life, let your health, dreams, finances, school, church, family, relationship bloom with new life. The resurrection of Jesus changed the history of the world forever. It produced a revolution that will go down in history as the greatest. What hope does the story of Jesus bring to your life?

REFLECT THE LIGHT

Load shedding defined as the deliberate and temporary reduction of electricity supply to certain areas or consumers by the utility company or government authorities is something we all don't like. Since the times of Alessandro Volta and Michael Faraday in the early 19th century (1800s), electricity has become an integral part of human societies. There's pretty much less to be achieved in the world today without electricity.

Benjamin Franklin puts it this way, "Electricity is the soul of the universe. To remove it would be to destroy the universe." While electricity has brought much good, there are some not so much dwelt upon downsides. For example, light pollution. Light pollution refers to the excessive or misdirected artificial light that brightens the night sky and interferes with natural darkness.

This excessive artificial light obscures stars, the moon and other celestial bodies. Therefore when there's loadshedding especially at night, much of the city is dark because there's no electricity. As I moved about in the clear sky today since we are being load shedded something popped in my head. This i thought;

There are times when God brings load shedding in our lives. He cuts the supply of many artificial things that bring us excitement and brighten our lives. These could be problems, losing a Job, disease, death, accidents, business losses etcetera. God allows all these to befall us and there is an unusual darkness in our lives in that moment.

However, this allows us to see clearly the natural light in the skies without obstruction or pollution. Oftentimes we are blinded and deceived by the artificial things that surround us, the artificial relationships we have losing sight of the things of God that really matter. One celestial body that shines the brightest in the night sky is the moon. The moon has no light of itself, it just reflects light from the sun.

It is in dark times of our lives we need to learn to reflect the life, light and character of Jesus, the son of God.We have no life, not light in ourselves yet we can reflect from him who has. When we experience a load shedding in our lives it doesn't mean we have a Lord shedding. The Lord is ever abiding among us for he is the light of the world and we should reflect that light.

Load shedding therefore is a time of reflection, a time to shine like the moon in the night sky. Our dependency on God should grow stronger in this time of trial. Artificial power can be withdrawn but never the Lord's power.

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."— Matthew 5:16

*SOH: MADILYN BAILEY, FROM HATE TO A HIT*

Madilyn Bailey, is a renowned American pop artist. With a YouTube following of over 9.6 million subscribers she faced a barrage of hate comments on her channel. Rather than succumbing to negativity, she found inspiration in adversity. Creatively, she transformed those hurtful words into a powerful song, using her music as a platform to turn hate into something beautiful.

Taking her creation to the stage of America's Got Talent, Madilyn Bailey poured her heart into the performance, captivating the audience and judges alike. As she played her song, the atmosphere shifted, resonating with the universal message of overcoming obstacles and embracing positivity. Madilyn received the ultimate validation—a Golden Buzzer, propelling her journey to new heights of success and proving that even amidst criticism, one can find strength and triumph.

The story of Madilyn Bailey teaches us the invaluable lesson that adversity can be transformed into opportunity. Instead of letting negativity bring us down, we can use it as fuel for creativity and growth. Through resilience and determination, we can turn challenges into triumphs, inspiring others along the way. Madilyn's lyrics were not so friendly neither were they nice but the rhythm and melody with which she sang the song completely shadowed and destroyed the negativity. We can happily dance to the song of life not because the lyrics (situations, occurrences, events, happenings) are good, no, but because we have hope.

This story reminds of the words in the bible, "Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs." (Proverbs 10:12). Love is the melody, it is the rhythm. And so Jesus says "Love your enemies, pray for them." Paul adds, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:17-21). We can only remain hopeful if we Love.

*Good morning 🌄 | Let love flow❤️ | Lovely week ahead 🌹*

SOH: JOHN HUSS, HOPE IN THE FLAMES

John Huss, a Czech priest and reformer, rose to prominence in the early 15th century. He became a vocal critic of the Catholic Church's practices, particularly its sale of indulgences and corruption among clergy. Inspired by the teachings of John Wycliffe, he advocated for church reform and promoted the idea that the Bible should be accessible to all believers in their native language.

Huss's defiance of the church's authority led to his excommunication and eventual imprisonment. Despite being promised safe conduct to a church council in Constance, he was betrayed and handed over to secular authorities. In 1415, he was tried for heresy and subsequently burned at the stake. His martyrdom fueled the flames of religious dissent across Europe and contributed to the spread of Protestantism in the centuries that followed.

The amazing fact about Huss' death is that he stood by his faith. As his critics chanted curses he sang praises to the Lord. In the flames he was faithful and hopeful. Huss shows us what real hope is, believing that God is in control and that he will finally resurrect his own. Life's story won't always end on a rossy page, however, that's when we should even show more hope. Have you ever faced opposition for defending the truth? Don't lose hope, even though the evidence says otherwise, keep hoping.

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. — Romans 8:24-25

SOH: HUBBLE TELESCOPE'S 🔭 DEEP FIELD IMAGE— BEAUTY FROM NOTHING

On the 30th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope, Neil deGrasse Tyson hosted Jennifer Wiseman, PhD, astrophysicist and senior project scientist for the Hubble Space Telescope on his famous radio podcast, Star Talk. Jennifer talked about the “director discretionary time” which allows the director of the Space Telescope Science Institute to allot time for ideas and research for larger projects or projects that might not be otherwise considered in the general selection process.

Jennifer recalled an instance when the director himself used the discretionary time. He pointed the Hubble at “nowhere”. He zoomed in and focused only to see an ocean of stars and galaxies. This resulted in the Hubble Deep Field image, one of the most iconic images Hubble has ever taken.

This reminds me of what happened eons ago, the creation of the universe. God created everything from nothing, from absolute nothingness came all this beauty we see today. God as the director gave himself seven days and the result was not just a static image but universe full of moving beauty.

It is wonderful how even today when we let God's telescope 🔭 focus on our 'nothing' lives he can bring out a live beautiful picture. If at all you feel you are nothing, you are at the genesis of an interesting creation story. If we allow the holy spirit to hover in our sin darkened hearts, he'll do wonders and fill the void in us with God's blessings. In these trying times when we have no rain, no money, no good health, no good relationships, no nothing it's time for the director up there to focus his telescope on us.

'In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.'— Genesis 1:1-2

_O Lord fill your child with your Holy Ghost. Create in us the beauty you prepared since the beginning of time. Dispel this darkness with your everlighting light 🕯️, Amen._

William Kamkwamba, a young Malawian, gained international recognition for his remarkable ingenuity and resilience. Growing up in a rural village plagued by poverty and famine, Kamkwamba's life took a transformative turn when he encountered a book on windmills at his local library. Determined to bring electricity to his community despite limited resources, Kamkwamba embarked on a journey of self-education, using scrap materials and his innate engineering skills to construct a windmill capable of generating electricity for his family's home.

SOH: ANDREA THE VOCALIST

Thirteen-year-old Andrea Sibanda from Zimbabwe faced punishment in church for leaving the service to pick fruits. As his penalty, he was asked to sing in front of the congregation. Andrea chose to sing a song titled ‘Uhambo’ with an extraordinary tone and passion. A member of the congregation recorded his performance and posted it on TikTok, leading to the video going viral. Popular artist Aubrey Qwana noticed the video, initially recording the song solo due to difficulty in finding Andrea.

After an extensive search, Qwana located Andrea, took him to the studio, and recorded the song with him. The collaboration propelled Andrea to national recognition, with numerous big-name artists, including DJ Maphorisa, seeking to collaborate with him. Despite facing punishment for misbehavior, Andrea's talent ultimately brought him unexpected glory and success. At 15 now, Andrea Sibanda is a popular figure blessings Africa with good music, find him here 👉 https://www.facebook.com/andreathevocalist

This is a true story from Zimbabwe, a story of hope. From this we see clearly how God can turn any bad situation that we ourselves have brought to work for us. It was not Andreas disobedience that brought him to such heights, it was his obedience to take the punishment. Some punishments and circumstances in our lives are beacons of change. Even when we go wrong, Christ is ready to forgive and catapult us to greater glory (1 John 2.1-2).

THE STONE KINGDOM
.. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the entire earth. And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever. Just as you saw that a stone was broken off from the mountain without hands and that it crushed the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold, the great God has made known to the king what will take place in the future; so the dream is certain and its interpretation is trustworthy.”— Daniel 2:35,44-45

The stone that was cut without human hands represents God’s kingdom. It will not be a conglomeration of earthly kingdoms, but a total replacement (Revelation 21:1). The Scriptures declare that when Jesus Christ returns to earth, He will completely consume all the kingdoms of earth and establish an everlasting kingdom (Daniel 2:44). What exciting news! Jesus Christ is coming again! All history is moving toward this climactic conclusion when the Son of God shall return in majesty to bring in the kingdom of everlasting righteousness.

King Nebuchadnezzar may have thought that he had defeated the true God when he besieged Jerusalem and plundered the temple (Daniel 1:1, 2), but he was shown very quickly that God is ruler over
all. Human events are under His control, and ultimately He will win the conflict. Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and the 10 divisions of the Roman Empire may have sought to usurp divine authority and destroy the people of God, but all earthly
kingdoms will eventually be crushed by the coming of Christ. Thank God, He will win the great controversy!

Many have always tried to Babylonian doctrine that this stone is man/a kingdom of human beings on earth. This is the same recycled doctrine of the papacy that they erroneously get from Matthews 16:18. Christ was clear that it is upon him who alone is the chief cornerstone the everlasting kingdom is built. As Nebuchadnezzar was said to be the Head of gold 🪙 to symbolize the Babylonian kingdom so is Christ the stone, a foundation of his kingdom. This kingdom is set when he comes the second time and grows into a mountain when the saints inherit the earth and fill it. (1 Timothy 4:1)

Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘A stone which the builders rejected, This has become the chief cornerstone; This came about from the Lord, And it is marvelous in our eyes’? Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruit. And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and on whomever it falls, it will crush him.”— Matthew 21:42-44. The Lord is a consuming fire, the kings of this earth and their kingdoms won't stand his glory.

“For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,” says the Lord of armies, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branches. But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and frolic like calves from the stall. And you will crush the wicked underfoot, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I am preparing,” says the Lord of armies.— Malachi 4:1-3

Our hope is not in human establishments, we look for a kingdom cut without human hands. It's a fallacy that we think we contribute one grain of works in the making of the kingdom of glory, Christ is the builder. We are small living stones not the chief cornerstone who crushes. We are being built upon the rock, into a temple of God.

And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by people, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,5. you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For this is contained in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a choice stone, a precious cornerstone, And the one who believes in Him will not be put to shame.” This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for unbelievers, “A stone which the builders rejected, This became the chief cornerstone,” and, “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this they were also appointed.— 1 Peter 2:4-8

This is the narrative of scripture, Christ is the chief cornerstone, the living stone, we are living stones. Christ is the only begotten son of God, we all are the adopted sons of God. Christ is the true temple, we are temples. He is the true high priest, we will be priests. He is the first fruit of all things, he is the reality of everything. He is worth all our praise now and forever amen 🙏.

Good morning 🌄 | let Christ be the chief cornerstone of your life | Good day 🤝

THE DIVIDED KINGDOM

And in that, you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it will be a divided kingdom, but it will have within it some of the toughness of iron since you saw the iron mixed with common clay. And just as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of pottery, so some of the kingdom will be strong, and part of it will be fragile. In that you saw the iron mixed with common clay, they will combine with one another in their descendants; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not combine with pottery.— Daniel 2:41-43

When the Roman Empire began to crumble in A.D. 476, it was not overtaken by another world power. Instead, barbarian tribes conquered the Roman Empire and divided it—just as Daniel prophesied. Ten of these tribes evolved into modern Europe. They were the Ostrogoths, Visigoths, Franks, Vandals, Alemannians, Sueves, Anglo-Saxons, Heruls, Lombards, and Burgundians.
Seven of them still exist today in Europe. For example, the Anglo-Saxons became the English, the Franks became the French, the Alemannians became the Germans, and the Lombards became the Italians.

Through marriage, alliances, and treaties, men have vainly attempted to reunite the European continent. All throughout history, leaders such as Charlemagne, Napoleon, Kaiser Wilhelm, Mussolini, and Hi**er have fought to build a new European empire; but these words of Scripture have stopped every single would-be world ruler. Revelation 13 tells us there will be another attempt to establish a universal religion, but Daniel’s prophecy clearly states that the world will remain politically divided for the rest of Earth’s history. (The millennial man, amazing facts)

Till now history has backed this prophecy in Daniel 2. Everything Nebuchadnezzar had dreamt came to fulfillment. From golden Babylon to iron Rome every prophecy was fulfilled to the letter. After Rome, there was a divided kingdom with a component of Rome in it. However, it was not as strong as the previous kingdoms. It is in the Days of this mixed kingdom that the stone 🪨 is said to strike.

Men throughout history have attempted to create a global state to no avail. The desire of God is not that we have a united Africa or a United world and have a perfect life here, no! Of course, he wants us to love one another and be united in faith. However, his desire is that we seek a kingdom not of this world. A kingdom whose builder is not man, whose foundation is not dangote cement but the precious minerals of heaven.

Our hope is not in what man can achieve politically or economically, our faith shouldn't be in human establishments for they're all divided and confused as Babel and have become Babylon. Therefore Paul says, "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." (Phillipians 3:20). Jesus adds, "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you." (Matthew 6:33)

Good morning 🌅 Kingdom citizen | Have a blessed week ahead 🙌

ROMAN REIGNS, THE IRON MEN AND THE ROMAN EMPIRE

Then there will be a fourth kingdom as strong as iron; just as iron smashes and crushes everything, so, like iron that crushes, it will smash and crush all these things.— Daniel 2:40

The title seems familiar 😉 to many especially those that are well vested in the knowledge of WWE wrestling. The entertainment network has this character, "Roman Reigns", as the one who usually wins his wrestling matches. He is loved by many fans, and truth be told, he was once the writer's favorite wrestler 🙈. What about Iron Man, does that ring a bell 🔔? This tool is a popular action figure in the movie 🎥 industry. Both of these two figures and many others obviously draw inspiration from the Roman empire for their acting prowess.

However, that's not our point of interest, there's the original Roman empire which really reigned as a world power. It was an empire of fearless Roman soldiers who conquered and dominated the world. The great historian, Gibbon says, “The images of gold, or silver, or brass, that might serve to represent the nations and their kings, were successively broken by the iron monarchy of Rome.”

It was in the time of this empire Jesus was born, it was this empire that massacred thousands of babies, and crucified Jesus, it is these iron men who destroyed the mighty temple in Jerusalem and made it a city of blood in 70 AD. Though iron has less value yet it's stronger than gold, silver, and bronze. Though the Roman soldiers were strong, they weren't strong enough to keep our savior in the grave.

About a hundred soldiers guarded the tomb of Jesus after his death, it was for them to prevent him from resurrecting or that should he resurrect they would lay him to sleep again. When He resurrected, they all fell like dead men and ran away, once powerful men now they could not even raise a spear at him. Jesus is always the greatest in life or in death he still reigns. Without even touching the soldiers he won the match for as the referee counts to 3 in the ring so did Jesus win when he rose on the third day as they all lay powerless on the ground.

You an I can trust Jesus. Our hope is not in men, it is in the Christ who reigns forever as King of kings. Powerful than iron man because he is the God-man who lives for you.

Good morning 🌅 | Rest in Jesus, not in Rome | Happy Sabbath
