I have always believed that leadership isn't about holding onto a seat it’s about preparing the next person to sit in it. To keep our mission vibrant and moving forward, we must embrace new energy and fresh perspectives. Today marks a beautiful transition for Girl Child Destiny as we pass the torch to the youth.
Since the inception of this organization, I have poured my heart and soul into serving as your Founder and CEO. However, I believe that true empowerment means giving others the opportunity to shine. To truly revamp and revitalize our mission, I am officially stepping down as CEO and Executive Director to make room for the active, vibrant youth who are ready to take the lead.
While I am passing the leadership to a new Chief Executive Officer, I am not walking away. My heart remains rooted here, and I will continue to serve as Founder, working side-by-side to support the new leadership.
To my incredible Board of Directors and fellow founding members Madam Chileshe Kapwepwe, Madam Julia Mwape Phiri, Madam Mary Mufaya, and Madam Esther Nalumosho thank you for believing in this vision from the very start. Together, we built the foundation; now, let us watch the next generation build the future."

The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) extended an invitation to Girl Child Destiny Organisation, led by Mr. Castrol Chama, to participate in an inception meeting to discuss grants for a project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Representing Zambia, Mr. Chama traveled to South Africa for the meeting, which brought together Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from across Africa. The project, set to be implemented over a year, aims to drive meaningful impact through good financial grants, empowering organizations to deliver effective solutions. Following the successful meeting in South Africa, Mr. Chama Castrol is set to embark on further international engagements, including a forthcoming trip to England.

As a prolific author, Mr. Chama's book, "Climate Puzzle," sheds light on critical issues, including the impact of climate change on vulnerable populations, particularly young people living with disabilities, HIV, and other health challenges. The book provides a platform for voices often unheard, highlighting their experiences and resilience in the face of adversity.
