Invitation for Expressions of lnterest (EOI)

The Anglican Diocese of Central Zambia invites expressions of interest from eligible companies or consortia for the design, build, operate, and transfer (DBOT) Water and Drinks Bottling project under a public-private partnerships model in Fiwila Mission of the Anglican Diocese of Central Zambia , about 65 Kilometers south east of Mkushi District.

The project involves a feasibility study, environmental assessment, design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the proposed development for a specified concession period, after which the facility will be transferred to the Diocese.

The Developer must not conflict with the Anglican Diocese or the community. Both local and international companies are eligible to participate. All Companies expressing interest may visit the location by contacting the Diocesan Administrator at the address below.

Interested applicants should submit:
• Company profile
• Details of relevant project experience
• Financial Capability information
• Key Personnel Qualifications
• All legal Company Registration Certificates, including Tax Clearance Certificates
• List of Directors.
• Latest Audit Report.
Submission Deadline
Expressions of Interest must be submitted no later than 30/07/2026 at 16:00 hours.

Anglican Church Welcomes Politicians but Remains Non-Partisan Bishop Chikoya

Anglican Diocese of Central Zambia Bishop, Emmanuel Yoha Chikoya, has reaffirmed the church commitment to political neutrality, saying politicians are welcome to attend worship services but the church will not endorse any political party.
Bishop Chikoya said the Anglican Church remains non-partisan and is open to all political leaders and members regardless of their political affiliation.
We shall welcome politicians in the church, congregate with them, and pray for them. However, we will not endorse any political party because, as the Anglican Church, we are non-partisan," he said.
The Bishop further clarified that politicians who attend church services will not be allowed to use the pulpit for political messages or campaigns.
They can come to church, but not to speak from the pulpit. If they wish to make contributions, they can do so through the appropriate channels, such as the church offering and donation systems.
The church should not be used as a platform for political campaigning, Bishop Chikoya stated.
He emphasized that the church role is to provide spiritual guidance and unite people in prayer rather than serve as a political platform.

Anglican Bishops in Zambia Ban Political Campaigns in Churches

The Anglican Church in Zambia has announced a ban on political campaigns and political speeches during church services.
Speaking after a gathering of Anglican bishops, Archbishop Albert Chama said that politicians are welcome to attend church services as ordinary members of the congregation. However, he emphasized that no politician will be allowed to go to the pulpit to address worshippers during church services.

"We welcome politicians to worship with us, but they should not use the church platform for political messages or campaigns," Archbishop Chama stated.
During the same meeting, Emmanuel Chikoya, Kafwanka, and Dennis Milazi echoed the Archbishop's message. The bishops announced that all Anglican congregations across Zambia should refrain from allowing political speeches or campaign activities inside churches.
The church leaders stressed that places of worship should remain focused on prayer, spiritual growth, and worship. Politicians who attend services will be treated as ordinary church members and are expected to respect church guidelines.
The bishops called on all congregations to uphold the policy and ensure that churches remain free from political campaigning.
