I have seen the viral video claiming that a child was swallowed by a python in Luapula Province, Zambia.
So far, there has been no official verified confirmation from wildlife authorities, law enforcement, hospitals, relatives or any credible news media.
The narration heard in the video also appears to have been added separately and is not from the original scene.
The voice only mentions Luapula Province without giving an exact location, village or district.
It does not identify or show who is reporting the incident and no faces are shown that could help verify what is being claimed.
Whoever added the narration may have been deliberately trying to mislead viewers knowing that sensationalized content spreads quickly on social media and attracts more attention as many people do not verify what they watch.
It is most likely that the snake had swallowed a domestic animal such as a goat, dog or other livestock.
As a snake rescuer, I urge people to be cautious before accepting and sharing unverified content.
