Choma District Women Development A association (CDWDA), in partnership with Zambia under the Youth Employment and (YEE) program, are empowering youths through training in Village Savings and Lending Associations (VSLAs), which a community-based financial model that teaches practical skills in saving, borrowing, and managing money. By participating in these groups, young people learn financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and teamwork while gaining access to small loans to start micro-businesses. This hands-on approach not only builds confidence and leadership but also fosters sustainable income generation and community engagement, equipping Choma’s youth with the tools to achieve financial independence and contribute meaningfully to local development

Choma District Women Development Association, in partnership with , is excited to announce a FREE 5-day Youth Entrepreneurship Empowerment (YEE) Program in Hanyinda, Sivubwa, and Mapanza!, be part of us.
Learn basic life skills and entrepreneurial skills to unlock your potential. Then, graduate to the next level and learn a specific skill of your choice, such as those in: -
Agriculture, Technology, Business & many more!
Registration is ONGOING and FREE, Interested youths! Don't miss this amazing opportunity if:
You're a youth between 18-32 years
You're not in school
Your education level doesn't matter!

When: July 21-25, 2025
Where: Hanyinda, Sivubwa, and Mapanza
Duration: 5 days

🎉 We are honored to be recipients of the FSTP Award 2025! 🎉

Choma District Women’s Development Association (DWDA) has been awarded a grant under the Civil Society Local Empowerment and Development Project (CSO LEADs), implemented by People in Need and JCTR, with support from the European Union.

Being awarded this grant is not just recognition — it is an opportunity to strengthen the capacity of our organisation, enhance internal systems, deepen our governance structures, and scale up our impact across Choma District.

With this support, we will continue empowering rural women, advancing inclusive leadership, and building resilient communities. 🌿💪

🌟 Celebrating Progress: From District to National Level! 🌟

Choma District Women Development Association (DWDA) is proud to have excelled at the 2025 Choma District Agricultural and Commercial Show, winning:
🏅 1st Prize in the NGO category

These awards were won by women under the Women Economic Empowerment Project (funded by Sida through We Effect) and youths under the YEE Project.

DWDA went on to represent Choma at the Southern Tourism, Agriculture, and Commercial Show (STACSS), where we won 2nd Prize in the NGO Category. Two youths supported by Irish Aid and Sida through SNV’s YEE Project also scooped 2nd prize and qualified for the National Show.

We are honored to represent our province nationally and remain committed to empowering communities through excellence and innovation.
