Choma District Women Development A association (CDWDA), in partnership with Zambia under the Youth Employment and (YEE) program, are empowering youths through training in Village Savings and Lending Associations (VSLAs), which a community-based financial model that teaches practical skills in saving, borrowing, and managing money. By participating in these groups, young people learn financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and teamwork while gaining access to small loans to start micro-businesses. This hands-on approach not only builds confidence and leadership but also fosters sustainable income generation and community engagement, equipping Choma’s youth with the tools to achieve financial independence and contribute meaningfully to local development
