Peace is our greatest victory. 🇿🇲
‎Dear Fellow Zambians,
‎
‎As we draw closer to election day tomorrow, 13th August 2026, I would like to make a humble and heartfelt appeal to every citizen across our beloved nation.
‎
‎Let us remain alert, peaceful, and responsible. Do not allow yourselves to be used by politicians or political supporters to spread hatred, confusion, or division among our people. Zambia is greater than any political party, and our unity is more valuable than any election outcome.
‎
‎Your vote is your constitutional right and personal choice. Exercise it freely, wisely, and peacefully. However, let us not abuse that freedom by insulting, threatening, or fighting those who hold different political views. In a true democracy, freedom of choice must be respected, even when we disagree with one another.
‎
‎As citizens, let us avoid gatherings, confrontations, and situations that may compromise our safety and the safety of our families, friends, and communities. No election is worth the loss of life, injury, destruction of property, or broken relationships.
‎
‎Remember that after the elections, we will still remain neighbors, workmates, church members, classmates, and fellow Zambians. The future of our children depends not only on who wins an election, but also on the peace, stability, and unity we preserve today.
‎
‎Let us choose dialogue over violence, respect over insults, and love for country over political differences. May we be remembered as a generation that protected Zambia’s peace and strengthened its democracy through maturity, tolerance, and mutual respect.
‎
‎May God bless you, may God protect every family, and may God continue to bless the Republic of Zambia.
‎
‎One Zambia, One Nation. 🇿🇲
‎
‎Yours faithfully,
‎
Thomas Munyeta ‎
‎Concerned Citizen of the Republic of Zambia
