Let Us Pray.........

Gracious Father, as we gather in prayer today, we are reminded of the importance of humility in our relationships, especially within the sacred bond of marriage. We humbly come before you, recognizing that pride can often be a stumbling block in our interactions with one another.

We pray for humility to permeate every aspect of our marriages and families. May husbands and wives clothe themselves with humility, approaching one another with gentleness and grace. Help us to set aside our egos and selfish ambitions, and to embrace the example of your Son, Jesus Christ, who humbled himself even to the point of death on the cross.

Lord, we know that pride can breed resentment, bitterness, and discord in relationships. We ask for your Spirit to work in our hearts, softening our attitudes and transforming our pride into a servant's heart. May we seek to serve one another in love, putting the needs of our spouse above our own.

We lift up all marriages in Zambia to you, praying for a spirit of humility to prevail in every home. May your grace abound in our relationships, bringing healing and restoration where there is brokenness and strife.

Heavenly Father, we come before you today with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of marriage and family. We thank you for the wisdom found in your word and the strong foundation it provides for our lives. As we meditate on the passage from Matthew, we pray that marriages in Zambia will be built on the solid rock of your truth.

We pray for couples to hear your words and to put them into practice in their lives and relationships. May they seek your guidance in all things, knowing that you are the source of all wisdom and strength. Just as a house built on a solid foundation withstands the storms, we pray that marriages built on your word will withstand the challenges and trials that come their way.

On this International Day of the Midwife, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all midwives who dedicate their lives to the health and well-being of women, children, and families in Zambia and around the world.

Midwives play a crucial role in our communities, providing essential care and support during pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. Your compassion, expertise, and commitment make a significant difference in ensuring safe and positive birthing experiences.

This year's theme, "Midwives: A Vital Climate Solution," highlights the important role midwives play in promoting sustainability and addressing the impacts of climate change. By supporting maternal and newborn health, midwives contribute to healthier populations and more resilient communities.

To the midwives, I thank you for your tireless efforts and unwavering dedication. Your work is invaluable, and you truly are the unsung heroes of our healthcare systems.
