Mother discovers teen daughter 7-months pregnant for dad
A 37-YEAR-OLD Livingstone dad has broken a record to be one among the first to test the repealed Criminal Procedure Code Act No. 4 of 2026 that makes all sexual offences such as r**e, defilement, and in**st made non-bailable, after allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge of his 13-year-old biological daughter.
The 34-year-old mother to the victim, told Police yesterday that her husband had deflowered her daughter and planted his seed in her.
Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo shares with TV Yatu that, the victim's mother disclosed the incident is alleged to have occurred on multiple occasions between August 2025 and April 8, 2026 in Livingstone.
Namalongo shares that the suspect allegedly turned to his daughter for unlawful carnal knowledge, in times when the mother would be away for business.
He says the victim painfully narrated that she was threatened and instructed not to reveal the abuse.
In narrating how the discovery was made, Namalongo says on April 8, 2026, the victim was rushed to the clinic after falling ill at school.
In examining the 13-year-old, health professionals established that she was seven months pregnant.
Upon inquiry, the victim revealed that her biological father was responsible.
Namalongo says a case docket has been opened and that the victim was issued with a medical report form for medical attention.
He says police have since launched a manhunt for the suspect who is now on the run.
"The Zambia Police Service warns that sexual offences against children will not be tolerated. Offenders will be pursued and prosecuted. The Service remains committed to protecting children and urges the public to report abuse immediately," warns the Southern Province Police Commanding Officer urging members of the public to report suspected cases of abuse.
